Indulgence no longer has to feel guilty. Go ahead, treat yourself!
Wow...it's almost 2 pm and no one has posted yet! I dont really have anything interesting to report, but I think we need something here so we dont get confused on dates tomorrow! About all I've done is go by the post office and the grocery store.
I am planning to go to Bowie, Texas in a couple of weeks to see a friend from high school who is coming to visit her mom in an assisted living facility. Sandy and I havent seen each other since graduation...43 years ago.
Not much else. I'll check back later.
Good evening from Laramie, WY. I guess NPat and I are alone here today. We didn't do much today, just drove. We did stop at Little America, WY for lunch. We have 994 miles to go so we should make it home Sunday night no problem. I will be glad not to sit in the car all day!
NPat, I hope you and your friend have a good time when you see her. I bet you have lots to catch up on.
I am going to heat up the last of our chinese leftovers and hit the sack early.
Have a good day, Sue
NPat, thanks so much for opening the BB for us... I knew I wasn't going to go on the computer till I got lots crossed off of my list tody, but didn't think I would sign on this late........ dinner if over, the dishes done and the kitchen all in order.... I really accomplished a lot today and then I got a call from my cousin telling me that she has to have open heart surgery. What a shock. Mary is someone who is so active, you can never find her at home.. she just came back from a two week trip to Ireland, and has always enjoyed very good health..... She said she would let me know the day the surgery is scheduled for once she knows.
What fun it will be to see your friend from high school after all those years. Have you kept in touch with each other over the years? I assume you have since you know she's going to be visiting her Mom. What a fun time you'll have catching up with each other.
Sue, thanks for checking in. I didn't realize you still had so far to travel. I know you'll be happy to be back home after such a long drive. There must be a microwave in your room, if you can warm up the left overs... what a good idea. So one more full day of driving and then home by Sunday. Drive safely and please let us know once you're back home.
I'm not sure what the others in the PNW group are doing.... kind of lost track. I know Jo Lynn is home, and think Maureen and Dick must be too, but am not sure. There was the group who flew to Seattle, but I don't know when they were leaving there. Hope we hear from someone soon. I would be really surprised if everyone was back home. I don't think Viny is because he still had a niece he was stopping to see....
I thawed salmon, so had to make it tonight, otherwise, I think I would have wanted to go out for dinner after such a long week, but ended up making baked salmon, steamed broccoli, and buttered noodles for dinner. I didn't eat the noodles, but DH loves them. As for tonight, I think we'll watch last season's final episode of Grey's Anatomy that I DVRd last night, since the new season starts next week. Other than that, it's been a long and busy day, so I might not even make it through that show without falling asleep. LOL
JoAnn...Sandy and I reconnected on Facebook...one of our classmates started a "WFHS Class of 1969" page and that's how a lot of us have gotten back in touch with each other. I have found out there are several in the Dallas-Ft Worth area, so I may see if any of them want to go with me.
I think Verna, Donna, Rob and Chris as coming home either tomorrow (Saturday) or Sunday.
See y'all tomorrow.
