    Morning!!

(((((( dusta & mel ))))))) I hope mel is doing better this morning. Let him know he's thought of & prayed for. Make sure you get some rest too, dusta. We worry about you ((((hugs))))))   I got an email with an e-card from you, I'll be looking at that in a minute. Wanted to let you know :-)

Muril - LOL at R&C having a harder time with macie away, I can see that :-)  My dh would have a very very hard time w/o sam. Doesn't matter to him if she's at a g'parents house or at a friend's, he has a hard time "letting go" with  Baby Girl Wink

Thanks for the updates on Kris, Rebecca and natasha. Sherry - it's fun to see you checking in :-)

Kris - thank you for the cards ((((hugs)))

Candy - ooohh! have fun in Vegas, great place to be. I'm jealous of the place ya'll are staying at Big Smile

Jill - sorry about the swelling. It's frustrating and makes you feel so blah :-\

Hi Debi. How are things with you?

    Good Morning everyone!!!

We had a good weekend. Friday I was home - had the service tech come fix my fridge. A problem with the water line, kept freezing & would split, leak water everywhere. Glad that's done! I kept samantha home with me friday - we had a fun Girl's day :-)  Saturday we had her birthday party at  the park - had SO much fun!!! it was hot, but everyone enjoyed themselves. We had 31 people show up. yikes! Glad I ordered enough food LOL!!!!  Had deli trays of sandwiches, a fruit platter, chips, veggie platter; drinks; cake. Turned otu really well and we had fun. I'll get pix posted as soon as dh gets them off the camera.

*sniff* I can't believe Baby Girl is 4 *sniff*

Sunday we had a birthday party to attend - Sam's BFF Claire. They went to the "old" daycare together, have been with each other since they were 5 months old.  So we partied a lot this weekend LOL!!!

In between, I got the grass cut and did a 3mile run; laundry; dh started work on a corner of the yard we are replanting. It doesn't get any shade - at all~!!! - and summers in NC are brutal. Nothing grows in this spot, and the dirt is so dry it's hard as concrete. DH had to get the pick!!! Anyway - I'm planning a nice little rock & succulent garden for the spot.  Succulents are great here - very heat tolerant, easy to water & keep alive. I think it will look really nice when it's all done. DH is actually excited about it, normally he can't "see" my vision LOL!!!!

all right, better get more Coffee and get some work done. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

    dawn

    Morning.

Muril peach ice cream sounds good.

Dawn when you said Sam was going to be 4 I thought that can't be right I thought she was going to be 3. Glad you had a fun party.

Debi I have a jade plant in the house and it is a succulent, doing well. I had one years ago and it got some mites on it and I didn't spray it, died. Have fun taking aunt to dentist. Tell her if she is good you will take her for ice cream. Smile

Mel called me last night all in a tizzy. His blood pressure was 98/47, I told him it did that before while he was in hospital and it would probably go back to normal, it did the next time they took it. I went to the cafeteria to get him a sweet roll this morning and when I came back he said someone had come in and told him they thought there was something wrong with his heart, but he didn't know what and they didn't tell him. You know they took him off the heart meds while in the other hospital.

    I'm dusting - - - what a joy........... ;)

Dusta - Ice Cream is a very good idea.  LOL   Maybe I will tell her we can get some kind of treat while she is "Out of the Joint" - - - LOL
You never know about her, she usually say's no. (???)
    ((((MEL))))))

Jill - so glad that your swelling has gone.  I swell sometimes - - - my TOM used to always make me feel swollen.

  • Re: H L Topic of Week of June 23-29~ Rules that are meant to be Broken!~

Debi I am jealous wish I was dusting, but then Jackie wouldn't have anything to do. And I know she just loves to dust. lol She told me today that her Mom was mean to her growing up. I knew she lived with her dhm later. She said from the time she was in the 7th grade until she graduated she picked peas to buy all her school supplies and clothes. I wanted to cry.

Jill glad you are no longer swollen. I have that feeling. When Mel was in hospital for 6 weeks  I had a hard time keeping my feet up especially that last 2 weeks, they had awful chairs.

Mel is home and we are sooooooooooo glad.  Remember the heart medicine that is dr said he didn't want him to start taking again? Guess what they have him on now? idiot

I had a sugar free icee today and it didn't have that after taste that sugar free stuff normally taste to me. Really liked it. What if it wasn't really sugar free. lol

I have not one thing for my summer person. They didn't have a gift shop in this hospital and I have found some cute things in them. Tomorrow I hope to get out and look around.

Mel was sleeping and he just called Mama, wonder if he was dreaming. He sure loved his Mama and took good care of her in her old age, died at 101.

    hugs to all

Dusta - so happy that Mel is home - - - and I can only imagine how happy you and Mel are about that.
Wow - his Mom lived to be 101 !  My Papaw lived to be 97 and his mom lived to be 100.  They were on my Mom's side.  I wished she could have lived with a better 'mind' in her old age.  She may have longivity also.
that is sad about Jackie having to pick peas for her school supplies and clothes.  I remember having to shell them - hated to shell butter beans !!!!!!  ( I didn't have to shell them for my supplies or clothes though - I just had to shell them to help out and then eat them. LOL)

dh was lucky after all - he did get some cornbread to go with his beans.  He was a happy guy. ;)

    Good morning ladies!!!

I tried to get on last night.  We had 105 degrees and I'm wondering if our satelite is heat sensitive?!?  I'll report more later if I can get on during the heat of the afternoon.  DF wants me to pound nails out of the boards removed from our house.  Hoping to get it done this morning.

Not much energy today!  Find the AC if you are in the heatwave today!

    Good Morning Sweet Healthy Beauties!

I had a full day yesterday- Macie did get a nap after all- slept from 1- 2:30 which was good since they needed for her to be awake and eat supper and such when she gets home- this week is Vacation Bible School at their church and Crystal helps with Macie's class. Here is a little brag from Momaw- Crystal says Macie is the youngest in her class but she has the biggest vocabulary. That little sweetheart is saying a lot of words and staring to say phrases. We now call Clay's cat "Meow, Meow" LOL She is always wondering where he is and what he is doing(he is either upstairs sleeping and we say "Shhhhh"- or he is outside and she is looking out the patio door for him. LOL Cute.

I made baked spaghetti for R&C to take  home and a pan to bake for DH and myself this evening in the fridge- I cooked pintos for our supper and made cornbread. DH thought it was his B'day. LOL Plus, we made peach ice cream while Macie was napping - sent some home with Ryan in a cooler. Anyway, it is good but the recipe needs tweaking- it has buttermilk and cream in it and I think it is a little too tart. So, will cut back on the buttermilk and it needs a little more sugar than called for- but it's getting there. :)

Waves and Hugs to all of you sweet girls. I need to shower and we need to run some errands. I will just have to pop the spaghetti in the oven this evening for supper- good thing- I have "steppin' out" practice tonight at church. Looking forward to that- we haven't sang in a while.

Dusta, so glad Mel is home. (((Hugs)))

    Toodles!

    Hey girls Big Smile

dusta - so glad mel is home (((((hugs)))))  don't worry about the swap, we can hold off or you can send it on later. We know it's bad timing for you (((hugs)))

Kris - each green box represents 3000 or 5000 posts. can't remember which LOL!!! How are you doing?

Debi - have fun at the hair girl. Be brave :-) It's only hair, it WILL grow back Wink I'm toying with changing my color, just something different & fun. If dh wouldn't freak over the cost, I would have done it already LOL!!!! But it's going to run about $250 to do what my girl wants to do. Yikes. She wants to go a reddish-blond color, with low and high lights.

Muril - we LOVE your baked spaghetti, have it a lot!

    Hi everyone!!

I've been talking/texting with rebecca - she's having a great time in MN. The whole family is.

it's been a busy one here. Hope ya'll are having a great day!
