Indulgence no longer has to feel guilty. Go ahead, treat yourself!
Morning!!
Sherry - glad you get a few days off, try to rest & relax a little (((((hugs))))
Dusta - LOL at mel & the chicken fried steak :-)
Muril - I am so happy the girls can use the clothing & things! It's nice to pass them on like this :-) speaking of that, by the end of the month I'll have a box for you (or the girls actually LOL!!!). I've started going thru sam's closet, toys, shoes, etc. but it's still warm enough I can't do a lot at the moment. We're cooling down nicely, so I think most of her summer clothing can come your way. And we've been going thru the winter things I kept, not much fits her at the moment! She hit 2 growth spurts this summer, she'll need almost all new winter things.
Debi - I'm glad you're feeling better ((((hugs)))) something is going around this region too, a lot of people/kids we know have been ill with flu-like symptoms. More achy & tired, overall "blah". Although 1 friend has been throwing up. I've been picking up the girls to take to school with sam, yesterday & today (thankfully they go to the same daycare LOL!!!).
Natasha - have you been able to see the house yet?
good morning jill, candy, kris, rebecca, and everyone!!
yesterday was crazy!!! Traffic, clients, coworkers... seemed like everyone lost their mind yesterday. Although, I'm the common denominator so maybe it's me?!?!?!?
hope ya'll have a good day!!!!

Good morning girls,I got myself up bright and early this morning - welcomed a small cold front - soooooo nice to have some cooler weather. The little Tabby cat came running to the back porch - she thinks if the weather is the least bit cool, she should be in the house. LOL Silly cat.....I did get my weight workout done - and sipping a chocolate coffee protien shake. yum....Coffee too of course - you know how I love my java - - - -Washing clothes (don't be jealous) - and going through the weekly groc. sale ads right now - Think I'm gonna make dh a Meatloaf & skinny mashed potatoes tonight (they are called skinny, because you make them with chicken broth instead of butter)Muril - Oh how I wish we lived closer to one another too - - - we would have a lot of fun.Workout together - shop together - fun.Hey, I wish we all lived close to each other. What a group. (fun group)one of the wine's I bought - was recommended by my sister - it is Cupcake wine - Angel Food.dh is a little skeptical about that one - LOL - - - but we will try it.Dusta - too funny about Mel and the Steak. I don't do very well at getting batter to stick, because I'm always messin' with the recipe trying to make it leaner- or less calories.....
Candy- you are forgiven about your statement regarding the South. LOL It is what it is.Rebecca - Yeah, I have to just make myself get out of my little patch in the woods most of the time. I have to admit - it's so peaceful here - it's hard to leave. But I need to get out some.Dawn - LOL - I love your 0 to Witch in 2.7 hahaha Wow, little Sam is growing fast. Hoping your friend gets well soon and the girls don't catch it.
Guess I'll go downstairs and see what I can get into ( mostly will be laundry) - Waving to all of you !
Debi
OMG......you all need to look at the pictures links I posted on FB...we had a new McD's open up at midnight last night and people started getting lined up at 1:30 in the afternoon! Talk about NUTS! And they wonder why Americans are obese?!?!? the first 100 people (at different times during there opening) get a 1 free big mac, 1 free mcmuffin, and a free large drink a week for a year....so not worth it!
Ok I will hop off my box now...lol
At the library right now...dh has meetings today, so I am on my own for a while. Think I will go by St.V and see if I can find any bargains! :)
Hope everyone is doing well! ((hugs))
MorningWe did look at houses yesterday. Loved the one we thought we would... only to find out right after that, it sold. I tried not to get too attached but I was a bit heart broken when I found out. After looking at houses, we headed down to see my family for the evening. We spent a couple hours visitnig with my dad. kari and Madison werent home :( so couldnt see them. Then we spent the evening with my mom and brothers and laci. Kira was being babysat by lacis mom, so I didnt see her either. Oh well. Im glad I had the time with my family, I needed it. And mom forced me to see that its okay we didnt get that house (we were gonna look again and then make an offer) because God has something better in store for us...Still, made me kinda down.Today, were just hanging out at home. Were waiting on my next paycheck, so nothing fun. No special foods... gotta actually figure out what we plan to eat today with whats on hand and no real ingredients LOL We will figure it out. Seans gonna go ride bikes with a friend this evening for a couple hours. Its a gravel trail, so I cant ride on it. I have road tires.Ill come back and catch up later, I read everyones posts but not up to responding now :) Love you girls!
Jill - that is so weird with mcd's. They do that with Chick fil A too, and I don't get it. I guess the excitement is in the chase, per se? Just to see if you can be that first or 100th person or whatever? LOL!!!
Natasha - a lot of houses will come & go while you look. Seldom do people buy the first & only house they've looked at. No special foods? Do you mean something specific or you don't have a taste for your freezer meal stash? I was craving mediterranean the other day, ended up getting take-out from one of our favorite places & had it for dinner. It was good, and well worth the $$$, but it's enough money that we can't do that regularly LOL!!!!
Debi - sounds like you're getting better (((hugs))) That's funny about the kitty, my Pogo is a big ol' baby too LOL!!! He'll curl up in your lap, snuggle right in, the second the temps dip below 80 LOL!!!! Mmmm the protein shake sounds good, I"m with you. Love coffee :-) Let me know how the wine is I hit a major score last weekend - for some reason walgreen was getting rid of a lot of their wine. They had $15 bottles of riesling on clearance for $3.50. There were 7 bottles & I bought all of them LOL!!!!!
Guess I need to get back to the madhouse this place has become
Good Afternoon Healthy Beauties!
Happy Wednesday! Our sweet girls are napping at the same time. Macie took less than 30 minutes to go to sleep after she finished her bottle. :) Kelsie was getting her bottle at the same time- love it when they nap at the same time- that way- I feel like I am training them to nap at the same time when Kelsie is down to one nap a day. Speaking of which- she is such a sweetheart- think she laughed outloud for DH today but don't know if it was a fluke or what and she is smiling more. I got some cute pics this morning of both the girls- Macie playing Momma and feeding her baby doll and Kelsie playing Kelsie. LOL I hear Kelsie making some noises- she is trying to wake up. I am in the same room. :)The playpen is in the L/D combo room and I keep my computer on the dining table- works well for multi tasking- hey I had time for lunch today- turkey , swiss, blue tortilla chips, baby carrots and grapes- YUM!
Dawn, that is so sweet- another box!!! Oh my! You would think the goodies were for me personally- the way I get so excited! :) Wozzer on the deal on the wine- what brand was it? Are most rieslings the same? I have had the barefoot brand- like it a lot. I like the red moscato too in the same brand. Love your witch thingy! Cute!
Jill, that is so odd about giving the first hundred this and that- they could have given out more if they had given less to each one- lol- that way - more could have had free stuff- but not enough free stuff to get them unhealthy. ...know what I mean? They could have given free salads- the kind topped with the chicken-that would work for me. :)
Candy, glad you have been having fun! You seem to enjoy yourself so much- love it and you have a blast with your hubby too- love that!
Dusta, are you still sleeping pretty good? I woke up several times last night- think I may try melatonin tonight- take it every other night or something- have to try something. :)
Rebecca, Yesterday I actually had an empty hamper for a few minutes. Oh this is cute- Macie helped me change sheets on our bed today and she doesn't want me to put the quilt back on top- so funny...it's kinda stuffy in there for her to nap anyway so she's just under a sheet and baby blankie right now. I'll put it back on later- guess she thinks it looks better without the quilt or just like having it piled in the floor. :)
Sherry, has it started to cool down any yet and how is your sinuses doing? Better I hope.
Debi, wouldn't it be grand if we all lived close to each other- we could get together and have a blast- a little wine, good food, and good company- what else could one ask for? :) Let me know how the wine it- haven't hear of that one- is it a dessert wine?
Natasha, the right house will come up eventually- takes a lot of patience- and a lot of time. We so learned the hard way- not to buy anything to quickly- bought our first home and the well was dry- from then on- we check everything and ask everything of the realtors... you just never know- but don't want to scare you though- it'll work out. Take your time. (((Hugs))) I know it gets frustrating though.
I am pondering whether I want to go to Mom's this week or next- May take the plunge and go tomorrow or Friday- haven't been down to spend the night in a while- the last time was a day trip when DH and I took her out to lunch and such...we shall see. :)
Okay, off to do a few things while our girls are napping- Kelsie wasn't waking up after all- she must have been getting comfy. :)
Hugs to all!
I did an edit since I had my P's and Q's crossed. :)
It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that." than to look back and say: "I wish I did that."
Was just watching Dr. Oz about Metabolism - - - I probably shouldn't make popcorn my lunch LOLNow I'm watching The Doctors - - - and looks like I better revamp, clean out - and fluff my closet up for health reasons....... that's gonna be a job. Need to do it though.Muril - it was Candy that made a statement about the SouthJust that she said She and Charles were doing very good with their eating, even in the South - which she finds very hard to find Healthy Choices - - I was just picking with her - when I said she was forgiven..... LOL I'm down south country bumpkin too - - - hahaNatasha - Hope you are better - there will be lots and lots of houses to look at.And I agree with your Mom - - - God has a plan for you - the right one will show up - and you will know it.
Dawn - Wow! what a great deal on the wine ! I would have bought all they had too hahaha
Muril - it's Barefoot riesling :-) Most rieslings are similar enough, but not the same exact taste. Some are drier, some sweeter (sometimes it's noted on the back label). Barefoot is on the sweeter side, I like it a lot. I love a moscato, too :-)
Debi - LOL!!! Nice to know I'm not the only drinker here
Natasha - bummer you couldn't see the babies. Hopefully next time!! I'm sure it felt weird not to be holding or playing with either of them :-)
Hi All:
Well I had a marvy time off. Charle and I went out on Tuesday night and pretty much hit the bars and Honky tonks, enjoyed some music and did a little danding. Fun.
Then on Wed. I met up with my high school friend who I haven’;t seen in 35 years. We didn’t’ have any plans but she thought it would be fund to do things we did 35 years ago, so we went to Waffle House and hung out, and then we went to a psychic for a Tarot reading (which was fun – I’m in good healthy will live to a ripe old age and see much success in my career) and then went to lunch and then over to Opyland Mills for a little shopping. They had a Wilson Leather store (which I love) and I ended up buying charles a very nice leather jacket. He didn’t really need it, but I just thought it was something he would like – and he did. We don’t’really celbrate Christmas or birthdays, but I like buying unexpected presents for absolutely no reason. Then Karen came back to the hotel, met Charles and we all went out for a very nice dinner. It was a fun day and we picked up just like we saw each other yesterday – even though it had been 35 years.
Muril: Yep, I enjoy going out and living life to the fullest – and so does Charles – so that’s what we always try to do. It’s really lots of fun!!
Natasha: Don’t get discouraged as othersa said, you will see a lot of houses. Try not and get attached to any of them – that’s what the salespeople want – as that is when you make unwise financial decisions. I know it sounds kind of pessemistic, but when you look at a hourse, look for thins that are wrong with it or things that you don’t like, and use them as a nefotiating tool to get a bettwe (lower) price. There’s lot of fish – houses – out there and I’m sure you will find a great started house for you and Sean.
Debi: LOL at me dising the south. It’s just kind fo the way my friends a I talk out here in CA. And ceratinly all travel writers who are watching their diet talk that way too. To be fair I fing VA, NC, SC, GA and MI the hardest to eat halthy in. Gees, I remember ordering a salad with no dressng in SC and it came with fries and cheese on top of it. I have to be careful when I order salads now and ask what is on them – and say no cheese. I also don’t eat red meat, and in that area the chicken is either friend, coated in some thick cream saouce or in a casserole. All I want is some nice healthy grilled fish and a vegetable that isn’t cooked in loads of butter. Again, hard to find. In TX I also have a hard time because most menus are so beef centered, OTOH, we discovered Seasons 52 (a nice healthy upscale restaurant) in Houston or Austin – but it did take some research. I’ave also found the portions larger than average in the midwest.
Dawn: I also ove wine. We are wine club members at a few wineries in our area in Northern CA, and I enjoy getting their new selections in the spring and fall (something to look forward to when I get home). I tend to like reds, and IMHO there’s nothing better than a good cab or zin. I try to taste wine wherever I go. We tried some in WI, but they use a lot of other fruit with the grapes (cherry, pear, etc) which wasn’t my cup of tea. Still we bought about 7-8 bottles. The cherry crush wine (juts cherries) will make a nice patio wine next summer. WE had a wonderful Chilean cab last night for dinner.
Jill: OMG about the MD. That’s horrible. I do like the fact that they now have their calories listed on the menu (it will be the law next year) . You think thye cold have given away something a tad bit healthier, like the little chicken snack wraps. I didn’t see the pictures, but I bet there weren’t a lot of thin people in the pics. I’ve noticed that when we do eat in fast food restaurants. And you look at some of their trays, and you just go Omg!!
OK, toime for yoga and EDGu and then we will hot the road dor the moonshine tour on KY – more historical that boozy.

Good Morning Sweet Ladies!
I am getting geared up to go to Mom's. I called her yesterday and told her and she is soooo excited so I am excited. I didn't sleep well at all last night- combo- hormonal and my sinus stuff going on....so I was almost deciding to wait until later to go- but think I will take the plunge and go on down... I can get lots of R&R at Mom's- will still try to do some light cleaning and of course get her out- I can nap when/if Mom naps. LOL Anyhow....
Waves, Hugs and Love to all.....
Thank you dear Kris for agreeing to starting us up this Saturday! We so appreciate you!

My "Babies" are growing up!!!!
Feeling blah this work week. Woke up from a nightmare. We had a lockdown at school and I couldn't find safety for my kiddos and it was terrible. Thank goodness it was a dream!
Trying to refocus my thoughts today! Have a good one.
Kris
kris, so glad it was a dream. Im having a blah kind of week too. *hugs* Muril, enjoy your time with your mom! Dawn, LOL on special food. I meant I dont have much meal stuff... just random things in the house. I have only done a few freezer meals so far. I hafta wait till next Tuesday to do the bigger amount of meals, waitin for payday LOL. Your splurge dinner for that platter sounds tasty! And very fresh too...Thanks girls, for the support on the house hunting. Sean says hes having lots of fun looking. I on the other hand am thinking of the wasted gas driving around (since none of them are near here)... Hes more laid back, Im just a more stressful person to begin with. So... yeah. Im mentally exhausted. *shrugs*Today is auction day, so Im up early. Sean is enjoying the fact that he is now getting 3 days off since his new bid started. He will get Thursdays to himself to play games or whatever LOL. I did tell him the dishes need washed and the house needs tidied up :PTraining at work isnt going too well. The girl has been a couple minutes late everyday (which is a no no in this job, since we work alone we must be on time to open). And she called out sick on Monday... so, will see if she comes in today. Shes young, and very immature. I dont think it was a good hire...Gonna finish breakfast and then get outta here. Have a great day girls!Breakfast - 2 eggs on 2 pieces toast (made a sandwich), yogurt, coffeeBreakfast 2 - LatteLunch - Probably nothing, auction day and allDinner - I think were having a potato augratin and ham dish from Marie callendar. Have some salad with it maybe.
morning
Muril have a nice visit with your Mom. Know you will.
Kris a bad dream can stick with you. I dreamed, years ago, I was in a huge truck, backed over a child then pulled forward and did it again. I woke myself up trying to scream. Hope you get out of your funk.
Candy you left out LA, this is a horrible place to find something that is not covered in some sort of sauce. We were in Flordia and I order a grilled fish and told him I didn't want any extra fat on it. It had been sitting in oil. Even if we order something grilled we have no idea what they do to it before we get it. Glad you are having fun.
Mel has a huge bruise on th gus stinacg giubg t cakk abd see abiyt the bloosd test to check. I am down to 10%, but typing any waoy. If there are awful mistakes, can't see what I am typing. Huge bruise on his stomach area, called home health to get them to come draw blood.
hugs
Slept in late this morning. Yesterday did not turn out to be a me day. Did a lot of cleaning and things that needed to be done around here. Like working on different privacy fence for back part by pool (had a friend doing most of it, our friend Charlie), sweeping carport, and cleaning kitchen, running errands. Had a very nice swim. Water is about perfect again right now. May and September are my favorite months as the water is nice and cool and "just right". Hoping for another great swim. Muril, it was 105 yesterday...so a little cooler but definitely qualifies as still hot.
May work on dining room and desk a bit and see if I can do some swapping out of decorations for fall, may do a couple of errands, but mostly doing a me day.
Going to work on recipe scrapbooking, read, crochet, whatever my little heart desires. Might do a little regular scrapbooking also if I can make a couple of pictures print on my photo paper. Working on cousin pages right now.
Candy, great deal on the wine! Maybe I should check out Walgreens, LOL.
Today is my best friends birthday. Will try to get over there and see her. Hard to do. Will shoot for afternoon.
Dawn, nice of you to send those things to Muril for the grandbabies!
Natasha, try not to stress out over the house hunting if you can. We did buy one of the first houses we looked at and liked it the best of any of them and it was a great price. That was the other house. Now I am living in the house that is part of my mom's trust and I like it as well, but if I was young again and hunting for a house and knowing the way I like to cook and knowing some other issues I have with this house (older from the 50's, no storage), would be looking for a house with a great and fairly large or at least well organized kitchen and a house with nice big closets and lots of storage space. May or may not be able to get this one better over time. Doubt I will ever be buying another one, but if I ever move back East or something those are things I would be looking for...but I know everybody has their own taste. Try to think of it as an adventure if you can. Still trying to think of ways I can update my very small kitchen and gain more storage space without spending an arm and a leg. Would rather it was an open country kitchen like the other one but there is the issue of that half wall and where to put the freezer and range if I got rid of it, but might replace cabinets someday and get new countertop and backsplashes.
Have a great day everybody.
I didn't go by any Mcdonalds so didn't see the line but heard Krispy Kreme was giving out a free dozen donuts yesterday if you came in dressed like and talking like a pirate. Bet they had a lot of people go for that.
