Hello everyone!

Well the hourly specials are over with at McD's, so hopefully the crowd will stop...they had cars lined up for about 1/2 mile for the last special. And I agree...I wish they had given away more healthy stuff like salads, ect..they do have the calories listed at the new place, so that will be helpful when we do 'occasionally' go.

Tonight I am going with MIL to a womens church gettogether....and dh is going to a bluegrass jam. Not sure what we will end up doing this weekend...thinking of going to the candlelight walk at Spring Mill?? Will see if the weather is ok.

Kris that would be an aweful nightmare! ((hugs))

Sherry hope you can enjoy your pool a little longer! There is no swimming here! Down in the 40's at night...they are thinking we might have a bad winter?? After the extreem heat this summer, I will welcome it! lol

Muril hope you have a good visit with your mom!

Candy so you are back in KY now? Glad you had such a fun time in Nashville! I am ready to go back soon for a visit! :)

Dusta hope that Mel can get checked out! Bruises like that scare me..I know its probably because of his coumidin (sp?) but bruises can mean other things too.

Been a busy day around here today - worked in the yard a lot.
Nice cool weather though - so it was not bad at all.
Talked about going to get our flu shots - but that's all we did - talk about it.
Maybe next week.
Brought cookies to the NH yesterday - they were on their best behavior - so it was a good visit. LOL
They did say they wanted brownies next time. hahaha

The Cupcake - angel food cake wine was pretty yummy. Not too sweet - but had a hint of vanilla in it. I liked it.

Candy - LOL - - - another thing about the South - - - "we" will fry anything. haha
Pickles, twinkies, ice cream, green beans, - anything - haha batter it - fry it.
I actually have a 1/2 brother who lives in Ventura California.

Muril - you probably won't see this - but wishing you a wonderful time with your Mom.

Kris - so sorry about the nightmare. Sleep better tonight (((hugs))) I hate nightmares - I used to have what was called Night Terrors - - - wake up screaming. Scare poor dh to death LOL yowza!

Debi it was nice and cool here yesterday too. A little warm in the afternoon.

Need to go to WM, did something crazy there yesterday. Took something back, didn't have recepit and could exchange it to get the one I wanted. Okay that will be fine, dropped off prescription then walked out and forgot the other thing. I feel completely crazy.Now have to go over there and see if it is still there.

They called about mel's blood levels and it is all messed up. He has been taking 5 mil for sometime now and it would not surprise me if they didn't do some huge drop, instead of a small one.

Hello everyone!

Sometimes don't you feel like wringing your hubbys neck?!?! I guess its my hormones, but just different comments the past couple days, just set my teeth on edge!!! Grrr! I am just biting my tongue because its probably just me.

Had a really good work out today, so that really helped me feel better...took out my frustrations on the treadmill! lol

The weather has been really cool this week and suppossed to be even cooler tomorrow (rain tonight), so this is really getting me in the 'fall' mood!! I am wanting to bake, cook and clean! :)

Debi our town is small and low income, so having something like a new McD's come in and give out free food is a big deal here! lol I went there for breakfast today, I had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon in the mail, so ate a mcmuffin for breakfast and brought one home for later.

Meal Plan today-

Breakfast- mcmuffin

Lunch- just snacked on cukes and nuts

Supper- swiss steak, buttered noodles, peas, and cukes that I pickled today.

Dh is out mowing ,ect..so I am cleaning, doing laundry, cooking, and checking out pinterest and FB! lol

O.K. - this is just weird - because I'm 'sad' all of the time now - probably what you are calling
"blue" KRIS - and JILL - - -I want to wring dh's neck for everything coming out of his mouth too.   
LOL - - - what is up with all of this?

I went to the Mall - drove up in the parking lot - - sat there a little bit - - - and then just left.  Didn't feel like going in - I don't know what is wrong with me.

Must be something in the air?  What do you girls think about us?

Dusta - I sure hope they can get Mel straightened out.  Poor thing.
The weather here has been really nice.  50's-80's     but next week it is suppose to be 60's-90's.  Not bad either really.

Debi been there done that, the pull up and not get out. Need another girl. I miss my friends, don't have what I would call a girl friend here, some women that I like and have gone out to lunch.  I really like Jackie.   Debi have you looked at the thing I sent you about the hot weather? Cute.

He has another/ or still a uti and picked up another drug today. Hope this gets rid of it. I think at night he doesn't get out of bed, uses that urinal and may not be emptying his bladder.. Hope this takes care of the problem.

Hi, everybody. Has been a busy couple days. Have been working on finding more diabetic recipes for some people that would also be good for me for losing weight. Have found a few that look promising. Swam again today. Water is nice right now. Muril, feeling somewhat better but still having some sinus issues. Nothing new for me, but have not caught cold, so that is good. Couple good looking recipes in the new Eating well magazine. One for roasted chicken with sweet potatoes and one for a broccoli/cheese/ham/quiche with a hashbrown crust that has been made over.

Feel like I am out of the loop part of the time when I don't get on as often as I want to. Supposed to be working next couple of days. We are getting toward the low census side again so who knows if I will be floated or put on call or if the census picked up last few days.

Made spaghetti and salad for dinner. My spaghetti is toward the lean side, so not too bad. We won't mention the apple cake I made yesterday. It is OK. Trying to stay out of it. Was meant to be for my friend's birthday yesterday, but then I couldn't get together with her.Don't know what it is with apple cakes but they all seem to taste better the second day.

Went to the back of the land to put some boxes in our 'burn barrell' - - - found my Tom Cat dead.
I'm really sad now.....................
I don't know what happened to poor Tom.  - his mouth was black on the inside.  really weird. ???
I guess he ate something (bug/lizard/something) that was poisonus.
so glad that dh had just gotten home - and was about to light the boxes - when I saw the cat.
So he took care of the matter........................

Well...what an evening!

First off I amgoing to have to take back about wringing dh's neck after what happened this evening.

Had a wonderful supper prepared, was taking it out of the oven and the pot holder slipped and I now have 2nd degree  burns on my hand. Dh was so helpful and concerened about me! I had to go to the quick care clinic, so now my hand is all wrapped up and I am loopey from the meds! lol So I am going to be out of commision for a couple weeks. I probably won't get here very often because its very difficult to type right now.

I will be thinking of you all tho! ((hugs))

Debi, I so know how you feel - I have done that before where I tried to go someplace and just didn't/couldn't whatever and just wanted to be home.  I had a panic attack once in walmart of all places, after our little girl moved that we wanted to adopt (several years ago) I had to go grocery shopping and I was almost done and had to stop, it was all I could do to check out, I was crying in the dumb line!  Something reminded me of her - I would take her there alot with me .. anyway, sometimes those kinds of emotions are just so overpowering!  I don't like the feeling so I usually make myself do or go or whatever.  I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty!  HUGS glad your hubby was there and you didn't have to deal with that.

  One good thing about GS is that I am getting out alot!  hahahah

Jill, take care of yourself and hope you heal really quickly!

hi to everyone else - Dusta, sounds like Mel is keeping you on your toes, hope he gets healthy soon!

Today I got a box from taste of home and I thought, of phooey another cookbook I'm gonna have to return - then I realized the envelope on the box looked different so I opened it and they published one of my cookie recipes in the Holiday and Celebrations Cookbook 2012!  How fun!  I entered that cookie into a contest last year I think - didn't win  but I thought it was kinda cool to be in the cookbook!  They tweaked the recipe wierdly though - it's a pretty soft cookie, but they said after it cooled to put it back on the cookie sheet and bake for 5 more min ... we don't do that!  hahahah  They also published my sausage tips in the Nov/Dec Taste of Home magazine .. notice how I get no money for anything!  hahahahaha  oh well, my kids think I'm famous now!

Rebecca, woo hoo on getting your recipe and tips published. I have heard before about how they tweak recipes they publish and then not always for the better but still have it under your name. I wouldn't know whether to be happy they p ublished it or mad that they changed it and then made it look like I had made the changes.

Jill, so sorry about the burns. I am sure that is very painful. Glad DH was concerned about you! Get on when you can and you take care of you in the meantime. Hugs!!!!

Debi, I am so sorry about your Tomcat. What a shock.
