Indulgence no longer has to feel guilty. Go ahead, treat yourself!
Kris, sorry you have to have surgery, but glad it will soon be over. I had that surgery when the laparascopic way was brand new and they were still keeping people overnight and I did just fine with it and only missed 3 days at the post office!. You will do great!
Great news. The foot is not broken after all...but I am still going to be out tomorrow and scheduled off the weekend so have another 3 days to keep it iced and elevated and hope to be good to go by Monday.
Gotta go ice and elevate my foot again!

((hugs)) Sherry!! So sorry you hurt your foot!!
Kris soooooo glad they are finally doing something to help you! ((hugs)) and prayers for you!
Candy hope your procedure goes smoothly!
Muril yes he is bottle fed. He is adorable! Has red hair! :)
We are trying to decide if we are leaving tomorrow night or wait till Sat. morning to go to the festival. One of the guys has a cabin we can stay in, but it will be a hassel with 1 bathroom for 7 people....so not sure what we will do. Dh said we will wait till he gets off work tomorrow afternoon and see what he feels like doing. Soooooo I may not be on here till Sunday. Sending good thoughts and prayers to everyone!
TGIF!!!
Changed the kitty box and set up the suitcases for next week. I'm not suppose to lift over 20 lbs so preping before I go.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Kris
Good Morning Healthy Beauties!
Kris, you sound great and peppy this morning. I am sure you are going to feel wonderful in a few days! Woo hoo on getting your surgery over with this morning. Happy Mending!
Sherry, great to hear that your foot is not broken. I was going to mention icing it yesterday and thought, oh, yes, Sherry is s nurse, she knows these things. LOL We have a raccoon that keeps coming upon our deck in the evening- have seen the little rascal twice. Yesterday "Meow Meow" just sat in the corner of the deck and watched him eat his cat food. Some watch cat he is! LOL So, I am going to stop feeding the cat on the deck- he'll have to come inside to eat from now on.
Jill, bet that baby is so sweet! We keep wondering if Macie is going to have auburn hair. Crystal's is auburn. But, so far we can't tell. LOL It may still turn auburn.
Waves and Hugs to all to come today! Love you girls! They still haven't restored everyone's power- but they have put a huge dent in it. They had to send an entire crew back to Florida for inappropriate behavior. I don't know what that was all about?
The water has been tested to be safe now and the water doesn't have to be boiled now! Woo Hoo. I don't think we ever had to since we are in a different section and are not using the pumping station that was involved but we did as an extra precaution. We have drank so much bottled water...... we are going to change our faucet and refrigerator water filters today and throw away our ice(or maybe just crush it for ice packs-dh uses ice packs on his foot for pain quite often) in the ice maker and we should be good to go.
It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that." than to look back and say: "I wish I did that."
Good morning girls,(((Kris)))- so glad that your BF is coming for you. She's a keeper. ;)((((Sherry)))- so sorry to hear about that accident. ouch! Happy that it is not broken though - Hope you two girls are doing better today - and recovery is speedy for both of you.(((Candy))) - will be thinking of you and praying for you - with your sinus lift. Dusta - be sure to tell Mel that I said Happy Belated Birthday !!!! My FIL's is in December and he will be Mel's age. They are right there together. ;)My little neighbor girl's birthday is the same as Mel's.Muril - we haven't had a BLT this year- maybe we will tonight! LOL Sounds good - and we have fresh garden tomatoes. That is cute about the kitty watching the Coon - - - smart kitty too, because a Racoon will kill a cat. They sent a whole crew back because of inappropriate behavior!!!!??? Oh my. Hope things are back to normal soon.Jill - have fun - what ever you two decide to do ! :) Wow - 7 people, one bathroom - crowded. LOLWould be for me anyway. I have shy kidney's hahaha
Waving to all of you girls - - - we didn't walk/run this morning - dh is fishing with a friend that is in from Afghanistan - he has to leave again on Sunday. There's been MUCH NH drama in the past week - hoping they are settled down - I'm bringing brownies today. That always makes them happy. haha
Debi
Morning!
((((kris)))) good luck this morning, we're thinking of you!!
Sherry - so glad your foot isn't broken! Did you fall or trip? Get some rest & keep that thing iced :-)
Candy - hope the sinus lift goes well. Every few years I need mine cleaned out, not a comfortable thing
Debi - ((((hugs)))) hope the NH crew settles down for you. I bought the book at Amazon, 36-hour day. Have been reading that, I'm so grateful for the suggestion! It's helping me cope (((hugs))) I bought 2 more, sent one to each my dad & sister. My sister will read it, we've been in communication a LOT over this topic I"m hoping my dad will, maybe it will help him with the denial. I can hope!!! :-)
Muril - glad the power & water is restored. Good idea for the ice packs. We've put "bad" ice down the disposal, helps clean it out a bit. When the refrig. repair man fixed the freezer, I got rid of all the ice we had in the freezer and tossed 2 more ice cycles after that. I wasn't sure what was done LOL!!! I had to giggle over "meow meow" and the raccoon. Our neighbor ended up with an "honorary" possum because of cat food left on the deck LOL!!! The possum wouldn't leave, made a nice home under the deck
Dusta - sounds like you made a great meal choice at the fish place! I'm so happy a small party came about for Mel
Jill - 7 people and 1 bathroom??? I'd be waiting until saturday also LOL!!!!
hi natasha, rebecca and everyone!!!
I"m hoping it will be a quiet & quick day around here. Supposed to be hot - 101 - and I'd like to get out for another run. Went 3 miles last night, then came home & ate pizza LOL!!! We had a free pizza from Papa Johns, after pigging out on the 4th, I feel really blah today Too much "bad" food.
Not much planned for the weekend, although I'd like to get into Barnes & Noble. Sam and I got gift cards for our b-days, and book shopping online isn't the same :-) I do plenty of it, but I love the smell and ambiance of a bookstore.
Right now I'm reading "Service" by Marcus Luttrell. He wrote a book a few years ago, Lone Survivor, he's a retired navy seal from texas. LS was good, Service is too although a bit more "technical" in parts. Good reads though, very informative on what this war has been like to fight, and he writes a good story.
ok, bossman is bellowing! hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend!!!

Morning All! Its FRIDAY!Not a good way to start the morning, is having to call your hubby and tell him you tore a chunk of the tire off the car when hitting a very raw edge curb.... Thatd be my morning though! I went to the store already, did grocery shopping, and hit the curb hard next to our front door. Oh well, just hafta get a new tire now.Sean is going for a 30 mile bike ride after work today, wish I could join in, but I work later than him. Hes going with a coworker. Afterwards, theyre coming back here for dinner. So Im making Shake N Bake Chicken, Creamy Herbed Potatoes and Corn. Itll be nice to have someone over for dinner (first time ever, except my family). The days at work training are going well, so Im very thankful for that. Hope today flies by, so I can have my "weekend" (well, just Saturday, but, ya know).Kris, hope youre doing well!Sherry, glad your foot isnt broken! Sending healing thoughts your way though!Jill, hope you have a GREAT weekend!Muril, yay on the no more boiling of water! Debi, hope things go well today at the NHDawn, aw its so great youre reading that book thats helping you. Hope you can get a run in the afternoon.Ive made my menu for the next week, its not the best is health (but when do I ever eat 100% healthy, icky) but its got some good choices on it too. At Safeway today I bought a bunch of produce. Peaches, apples, bananas, carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms... and a few more probably. Got a great sale going on with bananas. Only 38 cents a lb or something like that. Were going on a 9.5 mile bike ride tomorrow, and will also hafta get the tire replaced. Breakfast - Strawberries, Coffee... and probably something else. Im still hungry LOLLunch - Tuna Sandwich, Chips, AppleSnack - StrawberriesDinner - Shake n bake chicken, creamy herbed potatoes, corn
Have been craving tuna salad lately. Might have to make some...or a BLT (LOL).
Dawn, I didn't exactly fall or trip either one. I was running and I ran smack dab into this big heavy duty ladder with my foot. I have always been such a klutz!
Natasha, bummer about the tire :-(. Hope you are able to replace it for not too much)
Muril, glad your water is OK now.
I am going stir crazy and it would be worse if I didn't have the laptop. Ugh. Probably will try to crochet today. At least would be something different. I'm about reciped out for the minute and I'm getting tired of playing solitaire and the book I am reading on Nook leaves a lot to be desired.
Had stones. Went well. Going to sleep now.
Yay Kris! So glad it's all over with. Enjoy your rest girl. You are going to feel like a new woman! :)
Dawn, I always put the remainder of DH's unmelted ice packs down the disposal- didn't know it helped it though. I have heard that glass sharpens it too should you accidentally break a glass or something- not that I want to do that. LOL We had errand day today- got a lot accomplished. LOL at the opossum. K&L saw one at their house- but it left on it's own. They put a pic of it on FB and said they had found where George Jones was hiding. Too cute. :) I hope that raccoon doesn't get to feel at home here. He is going to find out this evening that his never ending bowl of catfood has gone bye-bye. LOL
Debi, I didn't know that a coon would kill a cat. I guess we have one smart cat. :) He may have thought he was another cat knowing him. Not sure if he is that smart after all. LOL The BLT's are pretty much BT's here and we have our lettuce in a salad. :) Your homegrowns sound great- enjoy! We didn't make it to church on Sunday and I am thinking we missed getting them from a sweet man at church that shares every year. :)
Sherry, the tuna salad would be good too- just something simple- in this heat, who in the world wants to cook something elaborate, right? :)
(((Candy))), hope your procedure goes smoothly. Hugs
Dusta, so glad you had a B'day party for Mel. I am sure he loved it. And, the chicken and spaghetti sounds yummy too. You have been a busy girl baking and cooking. The pie sounds delicious!
Natasha, sorry about your tire. That must have been some curb. :( Anyway, your menus look yummy. The one for tonight looks like pure comfort food to me. Can I come up? :) Yum! So sweet of you to have Sean's friend as well. That will be nice and you can show off your culinary skills to someone besides Sean and the family. I am sure you are a wonderful cook. I feel like I got a lot accomplished today- the Co-Op, Lowe's, Wal-mart, and BB&B.... guess we did it all but we may have missed something. LOL
Hope everyone has a lovely Friday(what's left of it)...hugs and waves to everyone! Rebecca, are you still doing laundry today? I finally finished but the hamper will be filled up by morning time. :)
Jill, have fun- but 7 and one bathroom does sound a bit crowded... get your room close to the bathroom. LOL
Kris so glad things went well and it is over. hugs
Sherry isn't it strange when we have to rest it is so boring and when we want to, don't have time. Glad your foot is't broken.
Been abusy day. I had to go to the base to see about renewing my agent card and have to go to 2 places now. I don't know why you can't just do it all at one place. Who knows about the military. The letter I had to get said I could shop for what he needs and that is all. I know I am not suppose to buy anything for me, he does, but I can't. The perfume I like, he went out there and we got it. Of course when I buy a magazine they probably know it is not for him.
Natasha sorry about you tire.
Debi sorry abou the drama. Brownies should fix anything. We have a lot of sweets here, plus a lot of fruit. We had tuna sandwiches for lunch, they had chips and something sweet. Mel and his daughter had bread pudding, sil had brownie with ice cream. I decided I didn't need to eat sweets 2 days in a row.
Found a pair of men's shoes and flipflops in the front yard this morning. weird
Hope you all have a nice weekend. I thought itwas going to rain earlier, looked like it and all it did was sprinkle.
Hiya girls! The day at work went well. Its warm here... a nice week ahead. Weather in the 80s :)Sean ended up doing his bike ride alone. His coworker blew a tire as soon as he got on the trail, and didnt have a tube to replace it. So Sean rode alone. Hes just about done with his ride, then will head home. So I got dinner in the oven just for us. Since no company, just having leftover rice with our chicken tonight.Sherry, I was wanting tuna the other day too, so Ive had tuna sandwiches for a few days now! Love that stuff. Hope youre feeling better and not so bored :)Kris, glad youre surgery went well and you can now focus on healing!Muril, good idea to start feeding the cat inside. Racoons are no good to have around the house. You did accomplish alot today! I do think Im a good cook, thanks. I just never have anyone to cook for besides me and Sean LOLDusta, sounds like you had quite the errand day today. Good job not eating sweets two days in a row. Youre so strong :)Tomorrow Im off! Yay!
