Happy Saturday Morning Junies!
I'm going to play abit here on the computer and have a couple cups of coffee and then I'll get my salad finished and make the trifle. Wouldn't you know it, it looks like rain. We haven't had rain in weeks and the one day we don't want it........they were really planning on having most of the party outside. Oh well.......
Margie ~ Oh hun, I'm so sorry your vacation didn't turn out very well. And ouch on the pocketbook, dang.............. luv you my friend....sending hugs......
Enjoy the day my friends.................hugs........................
Good morning Margie, OMG, you did have an awful vacation. I am so sorry the trip cost you so much money. I bet you are "glad" to be home. MY DS Jim and his wife Christina have been at our house at Holden beach all week, but I don't know if they got all the rain that you guys had at Myrtle Beach, if they did they have not said anything about it. I know they were at Ocean Isle one day getting gas for the boast, because Jim called his dad to see what kind of gas to put in the boat. I am gald he did, because we use no gas that contains ethanol. It does something to the motor, don't ask me what because I don't know. LOL. They have been there since last Sunday and will be home tomorrow to spend some time with John and Christina's dad.
Margie, John, myself, and another couple who are our best friends, went for a ride on the Sky Wheel about 2 months ago.
My new windows really look wonderful. I did not realize how bad the old windows were. John is painting the colums and the pickets on the front porch this morning. It is another beautifull day it was 57 when I got up today. Yesterday was just a beoutiful day all day.
Well let me go jump in the shower . To all have a wonderful day,
Jan
Wow Margie! So sorry you had all that trouble and expense.Bet you are glad to be back home.
Tonite I am going to db's after work. I will have my hands full.Bth the kids are there, have been since yesterday afternoon. My poor sil had to take off work early to pick them up.There was supposedly a big fuss at my nieces house involving the kids so sil just went and got them. They will be there till tomorrow afternoon around 5 or so. I am really beginning to not have any respect for said niece and husband they way they dolike that.Knowing that db and sil really can't watch both of them at one time anymore because he can't be much of a help the way he is,and they do not care. Then niece gets on fb telling everyone that they had such a restful nite sleep.
Anyway enough of that. Hope everyones weekend is fantastic!
Yesterday was a real strange day to say the least. We hardly had any patients on my floor. Two of us started with 4 patients and the 3rd RN had 5 patients (and we usually have 6). Well my second discharge didn't leave till 6:30 pm and then I had 3 patients most of the day and 2 at the end. The other nurse that started with 4 also had a discharge and the third one had a discharge but she was really busy and she was giving blood to 2 different patients all day and one we finally sent to ICU...so we were down to 8 patients at the end with 3 nurses....so when I left they were in the process of taking them up to the other floor and locking up everything that isn't nailed down since the last time they closed a floor our blood glucose meters, caremobiles and WOWs all disappeared.
Had just barely got home and thank goodness Charlie had been there working on my computer because I would have been scared to death had I been there by myself. Heard this awful noise that sounded like it was right next door. It was....He opened the door and went outside and the cops were out there and told him to get back in the house now....they were executing a search warrant next door. They had taken a battering ram or whatever they call it and broken down the front door. They were there for over two hours and finally left with a bunch of people. Evidently all that work they did over there was because they were turning it into a coyote house and what I thought was the block storage shed they were building was a storage shed all right....to hide illegals if need be. Good grief. Way too much excitement for me. Here I had thought it was a nice family this time. That house has had one good family in it that I know of since 1966. Has always been a rental house that I know of.
Margie, so sorry that your vacation was so horrible and so expensive. Ugh. and so much rain. Glad you are at least back home safe and sound and that guy got you lunch. That was very nice of him.
Patti, sure hope it doesn't rain until after the party is over. Must be really dry there since you didn't get much snow last winter either if I remember right.
Waving hi at everybody. I am off another couple days. Working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday next week and expecting to be farmed out some of those days since our census is so low. Going to work on parish nurse stuff, putting some photos onto facebook, and scanning some recipe scrapbooking things and finishing a few things and might work in the back room a little bit. Definitely want to swim. Gotta get more instant coffee so made a pot of chocolate hazelnut for right now. Dinner is still going to be leftovers as I have a ton of them.

Good Morning Ladies,
I was all set to get on here earlier to post, but middle ss stopped over, so Frank and I had coffee with him and a nice visit. Actually, he is still here, but Frank and him are outside chatting away, so I thought I'd come here to post before it gets any later. After my shower, I threw a load of sheets in the wash. They'll go on the line when they're done. We want to grill out for supper, so I'll make macaroni salad and a garden salad to go with it. Not much else going on today. it's just beautiful out, sunny and warm. Later this afternoon, Frank and I will go to church.
Margie, Sorry you didn't have a good vacation., We sure missed you, welcome back!
Patti, Hope the rain holds of, so you can all enjoy Rowen's birthday party outside. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Rowen!
Waving hello to Debbie, Jan, Sherry, and everyone else. Have a great day!
HUGS!Denise
Good afternoon everyone :) 90º & sunny here, but not humid.....lovin it!!
Sorry I've been MIA; have been so busy with work, running, ballgames & had a big cake order for this morning. Would love nothing more than to sit out on the porch with a nice cold drink & my book and enjoy the weather, but alas we are in need of groceries, so it's off to the store for Danielle & I when I get done here. Tomorrow we're heading to lake to celebrate June birthdays & Father's Day; will bake my mom's cake for that later. Hers is somewhat easy, orange chiffon; made from scratch, but just has a whipped topping, no decorating.
((((Margie)))) sorry your vacation turned out so badly & hard on the pocket. Was very nice of that man to bring you some lunch; you do occasionally stumble on someone like that!
Patti, sure hope it doesn't rain for little Rowen's party - Happy, Happy 1st Birthday to him!!!!!!
Jan, glad you like the new windows. :)
Sherry, omgoodness....I'd have been scared half to death as well! Hope that's all your excitement for a good, long while! Enjoy your days off!
Denise, have a good day!
Theresa, big congrats to Joey & his team!!!
Gotta run..........take care all and have a good day!
Hi girls
Popping in with a quick hello this morning. My sister call this morning and we are going out to my other sister's house. Very last minute plans so I have to get moving.
((Margie)) sorry about your stinky vacation! So nice that someone brought you lunch. I love hearing stories like that.
Sunny and warm today, glad we are headed to the south bay (redondo beach) won't be as hot there.
Have a great day girls
Kathleen
Good Morning June Friends!!
Have had a hard time getting on lately. I am feeling much better for the most part and have been busy in the mornings. I am still limited on some things, and if I move too abrubtly I have pain. That said everything I do takes longer as I am moving at a more relaxed pace.
Yesterday I went grocery shopping for the first time since surgery. Caitlyn went with me and was the cart pusher (still not allowed to do that) and heavy item getter. She also loaded everything into the backend of the van. When we got home, Joe unloaded. The both helped me get stuff put away. I did overdo though and am sore today. Anyway, Caitlyn and I went and got almost the rest of the shopping done this morning. Again, she pushed the cart and got all the heavy stuff for me and loaded and unloaded the van. It is so nice to have good helpers. Today, Dylan will be my number one helper with the laundry. It is still difficult to get in and out of the machines. I sure wish we would have bought the pedastals for them. Maybe I can get Joe to build me some for in the new house -- if we actually move. LONG story.
Margie, so sorry your trip was a bust. At least it ended on a good note with somebody performing an act of kindness.
Sherry, WOW!! That used to be such a nice neighborhood. I'll have to tell my mom and dad about it. I am sure she will call her sister.
Caitlyn is cooking supper tonight. She is going to make tostadas. YUM!! She is quite good at it.
Guess I better wrap this up. Have a wonderful day my wonderful friends. Hugs and Prayers for each and every one of you.
KIM
Good Afternoon Ladies!
Margie, so sorry you had a bad vacation! I think you need a do over!! {{HUGS}}.
Another nice day out, tomorrow is to be nice too, next week will have hot weather too. Joey had a great game last night! The Threshers won the championship!! They really did a great job. Joey had 2 hits and 2 RBI's and was named MVP of the game. I was sooo proud of him. Bob was there for half of the game, which was a bummer, but he tried to push off work as long as he could, so he had a 10 pm start, so he stayed for 3 innings, both Bob and Joey were upset. My friend Stefi and her Dad were there, and Father Andriy came too, so he had support. Stefi and I went on the field to get some pictures and I was crying while taking them. Now there is another game on Wednesday night with the champs from the other league.....I guess this is the "World Series"? Anyway, he got a trophy and he is so proud of it. He is waiting patiently for Bob to come home to show him. We are very proud of him. Then we went to Friendly's for ice cream. We had a good time.
I did change the beds today and did some cleaning, waiting for Bob to come home and run to the store. I want Bob to rest some when he comes home, then we will go to church then home. Thinking meatball sandwiches for supper or whatever strikes them. Need to run and get Bob a B&N gift card for his Nook.
A little annoyed my one SIL called Bob, and he called me, so we were on a confrence call.....she asked what we are doing tomorrow, and whatever we are doing, could we involve his Mom, because Kate (the other one is staying home) and Lisa (the one that called) is going to the Maryland Shore to go on the boat with her husband, and she wants Bob to take care of her, And of course Bob said, Ok, so what was I to say, so now we will do something with her. Not that we are really planning anything, but still, they didn't want part of Bob to celebrate Mother's Day with them and his Mom. Whatever.........Ok, I'm done.
I hope everyone has a great day today! Relax and enjoy!!
Hugs,
Theresa
Just got a call from Gregg's other sister in NC, Bonnie. She said they are having a family reunion July 19 and invited me but I doubt I can go on this short notice because hospital schedule is made out through August 4. Otherwise would try to go for a few days since I need to get there again. Told me maybe fall if I can't get to TN or spring otherwise.
Lisa, sorry it is so busy. That cake sounds yummy.
Kim, this neighborhood used to be all older people who had bought the houses new, but most of them have died off. Now is predominately Hispanic neighborhood and most are ok but because it is an older, less expensive neighborhood, sometimes is attractive to people not too great. We had a coyote house across the street a couple years ago and would have turned them in anonymously but didn't realize what it was until they were already gone. In a lot of ways I would like to move toward back East somewhere so I would be closer to family but not sure when or where and right now housing prices here are terrible and I am upside down on the house because the prices crashed so badly...and I like my job and church. Glad you are getting some help.
Theresa, congrats to the Threshers.
