Happy Monday Morning Junies!
What a gorgeous morning it is. The sun is shining, nice temps, it's 54º, only going to get to mid 70's today. I will take advantantage and get the lawn mowed, well, the weeds, only thing really growing right now with this drought. Temps are to start climbing again tomorrow. Feels so good to have the windows open and a cool breeze coming in.
Supper is going to be leftover brats and hot dogs. I'll have to make something else, not sure what yet.
Enjoy your day ladies! hugs.......................
Good morning Margie and Patti,
It has been another busy Monday morning her in the lab today, but it is my last one for two weeks.
We are leaving for the beach on Friday and will not be back until 7/9. That is two Monday's in a row that I will not have to be here. We are having a house full over the 4th. I am looking forward to having BIL, SIL, Jennifer, Sam and my precious little Sammy for a week. Jim and Christina may come for a couple of nights.
Jill, nice to see you back, we missed you.
Waving to all the Junes, have a wonderful week.

Good Morning Ladies,
HAPPY MONDAY Where did the weekend go! After a beautiful weekend, we'll get rain today. it could become heavy at times, so Frank and I are getting ready to get our walk in early. We'll bring umbrellas in case we get caught in the rain. This morning, we also want to stop at the grocery store to take advantage of some good deal's. I also have towels to wash. Later this morning, Frank has to follow middle ss to drop his car off. The car has been running funny, so it needs to get checked out. Supper for tonight will be cheesy chicken pot pie and a salad.
We had a very nice day yesterday. it was so beautiful out. I sat outside and did a lot of reading. Frank mowed the lawn, and did other yard work. Later in the afternoon, he had something quick for supper, then off he went to a car cruise. He only stayed a couple hours, then called that he was on his way home, and he wanted to take me out for ice cream. We relaxed, watching tv when we got home. The new season of Army Wives started last night, so we watched that. Boy, was it good. I love that show, it's one of my favorites.
Thats all for now. Hope everyone has a great day!
HUGS!Denise
Good morning all. Overcast and 70s, to be mid 80s and maybe thunderstorms later. Waiting on my friend to go walking, then come back and run errands and go for eye appt. Need to get out my machine and start on more squares. Been lazy since I put it away when we traveled in early June.
Have laundry going. Will need to water again soon if we don't get rain. Got the back and hand pushed sections mowed on Saturday. Front wasn't needing it yet. Due to not much rain we mow one area one week and the other another week. Makes it a bit easier since we have over 2 acres. Power washed the old house on Saturday and did the front porch here yesterday. So far this one hasn't gotten as moldy as the old one always does.
Supper is leftover pork BBQ, cuke salad and a veggie.
Jan, sounds like lots of fun for you at the beach with lots of family time.
Kim, how are you feeling? Are you feeling more and more like yourself? When is the move?
Lisa, are you all moved yet or still in the process?
Jolene, hope you can get more energy, but remember you have been thru a lot with the infection and pain etc. Just take it easy and use those kids for manual labor. :)
Gotta run.
Jill
Good morning. Camping is done for another year. Had a good time. Will go get the camper next week so I can get it cleaned out and then put it back by the barn to await next summer.
Like Patti said, it is a beautiful day here. Will certainly enjoy it, the rest of the week is to be hot, hot, hot. I like the hot, but not the humidity. My poor garden is just suffering without rain, I watered it yesterday, but it really wants rain. There is a slight chance of rain later this week, sure hope we get some.
I haven't had time to read the posts i missed, will try to get to them later. Today we are going to the Dells. Every year we get coupons in the mail for half off boat rides and such. Today we are going to ride the ducks and play some mini golf. Then it'll be Red Robin for supper, so no cooking for me. Yipeee!
Both dogs want out so I'd better take them. Enjoy your day. Becky
Happy Rainy Monday,

Wishing all you Junes a great and wonderful day. And remember life is too short, so enjoy it.

Good Morning June Friends!!
Margie, I will resend the pics when I am done posting here. Sorry you didn't get them.
A couple of you asked how I am doing. I am feeling better every day, except I seem to run out of steam earlier than I would like. That might be due to the extreme heat just as much as the other. Or maybe it is because my bladder wakes me up anywhere between 300 and 400 and I can't get back into a sound enough sleep. Until the 6th of July, when I get my final release, I am not allowed to vacuum, no heavy lifting (nothing over 10 pounds and even that causes some pain) and no pushing grocery carts. I have been testing the waters some with the lifting, but the last thing I lifted (it WAS right at or maybe even a little under 10 pounds) did cause minor pain. SO, I won't do that again anytime soon.
Our actual move will be spread out. We are fortunate in that we have this house until August 15 and can move into the other at anytime. The only problem is the other house is FILTHY. These are the sweetest people, but she is definitely no June Cleaver. Part of the problem for them is the short amount of time they had to get ready to move combined with a 3 (almost 4) year old that has learning disabilities and other problems. He feeds off of the stress exhibited by his parents. He got kicked out of daycare the last week they had to finish the packing and cleaning. Needless to say, he is a high maintenance child and my friend just couldn't do it all. At the deep discount they are giving us, I will do the cleaning. Dylan's allergies can't handle the filth level, so his help won't be given (or expected) until we get allot of the stuff handled. His contribution will be to take care of the dogs at this house until we get the yard in a better place at the new house. For those of you who didn't see my post, or to further clarify myself, the plan is to get all of our stored items into the storage shed over at the new place. Then I will clean the master bedroom there and then move as much stuff from the master bedroom here as we can live without (out of season clothing, some bins that I have stored in my closet, etc.). That should be a one day cleaning. Then we will do Caitlyn's room. I am hoping to get her to wipe down the baseboards and walls as needed in her room to be. Then Dylan's and so on. My goal is to move into the other house by the first of August so that I can get this place cleaned -- steam the carpets, clean the appliances, scrub the bathroom fixtures and scrub all floors as well as touching up the walls where we have hung stuff and cleaning the windows as well as anything else that needs doing.
Today's chores are get the fridge cleaned the rest of the way, run two loads of laundry (my nicer clothing and the denims) and try to figure out what is going on in my bedroom. I clean and clean and clean and it looks worse and worse and worse. I think Joe said he off from work today, so we will probably go spend 2 or three hours working at the other house. We will go get some bleach on the way. I will see what cleaning supplies I have here, but I am thinking I need more here as it is, so I might pick up some pine-sol and some Pick and Span. We also have to get another padlock for on the shed. We won't put anything in it until we can secure it. The goal at the other house, for me anyway, is to get all of their belongings that they left behind into boxes and stacked in the garage. I will see if Joe will run the vacuum in the master bedroom after I am done so that I can start bringing out of season clothing over maybe tomorrow morning while he is at school. Did I tell you I will have a GORGEOUS closet in my master bedroom? It is custom with two areas for long haning items, more shelving than my kitchen in this house has, and a split rod area. Joe will take the top rod and I will take the bottom. I get the left side and he gets what he NEEDS on the right and I get the balance.
As for supper, until I get the pork checked out I am not 100% certain what we are doing. It will either be pork stir fry or breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, fruit). My next round of meal planning is going to include more crockpot meals so that I won't have to deal with so much cooking after working at the other house. I think I am going to have the kids start cooking more again.
I am a chatterbox today. I guess I will wrap this up. Have a wonderful day my wonderful friends. Hugs and Prayers for each and every one of you.
KIM

Hi Junes
Late on here today, got up early and took Casey to gymnastics, and Noah to weight lifting. Then I went for a walk, got a few miles in when Noah called to get picked up. After that he helped me clean out the cabinet above the fridge. It was so full of stuff, I think I have 10 Christmas platters, plus another 10 for the rest of the year. Don't need all those taking up space. We moved them downstairs, so now I can re-do another cabinet.
Beautiful day here today, mid 70's, not a cloud in the sky, with a nice wind. We are going bike riding shortly, then home and who know's what!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day today,
Jolene
Good Morning June friends!
We had a great weekend! Yesterday DD & SIL came for lunch after church. I had put a pork roast into the crockpot Sat eve, also made mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, dinner rolls I made Sat... yummy. Then we relaxed and played games, and all went to the kids' soccer games. They played 2, first the semi-final they won, and then the final game, they won too, so they are the champions!! Then we came back here for chili and a big Oreo cake I made. It was yummy! Baked 2 round choc cakes, and layered them with cream cheese, cool whip and crushed Oreos filling. Iced the top and put on some more crushed Oreos. I sent a huge piece home for SIL. Not sure who will eat the rest of the cake, I only cheat on Sundays, try to be good rest of week by eating healthy.
Even though we had a fun weekend, we got a lot of sad news end of last week and this weekend. Was almost overwhelming. My 17-yr old great nephew had a seizure, hit his head on the concrete floor and was unconscious, took awhile till he opened his eyes and responded. There's no internal bleeding, but he's not doing very well. There are other lifestyle issues going on too. My cousin has cancer and having surgery today to remove a kidney, DH's aunt is doing very poorly, they expect her to go any time. DH's niece-in-law's mom had a seizure, they did a brain scan and found she has a tumor and it's cancerous. They find out tomorrow what treatment they'll do. My cousin's son had a mental breakdown and was admitted to pysch ward. Another one of DH's nieces-in-law, who I wrote about before, was released from psych ward, but is not taking the right amount of meds, and doing poorly again, so bad that they took away her baby... So many hurting people. I am thankful for my blessed life and that I can pray for all of them.
DH left this morning on a fishing and golfing trip with his brothers, he looks forward to this all year! They usually go on a 3-day golfing excursion, but this year it's a whole week! DD is not going to work at the hospital today, it's grad day at her old high school, and she's friends with a lot of the kids graduating, so she's going to grad. I am almost done painting the door and frame I've been working on forever, giving 4th and hopefully FINAL coat today!! Other than that I'll putter around outside, beautiful sunny hot day.
Have a great Monday GFs!
Good Afternoon Ladies! Started summer school today! Not much rest last night, went to bed after 11, Dh and I cleaned and shampooed the den and laundry room carpets and did the kitchen floor.....wow were they dirty, sad to say I'm a bad June! But the den carpet has NEVER been done since we moved, and the laundry room carpet is in only about 2 years, but again I yelled......this is where my "boys" come in from outside with their muddy shoes, dust, etc, I did have a plastic runner once, and it annoyed DH when he'd go out to the garage, so he got rid of it, but I told them it's all from them. I take my shoes off before coming into the house, and I also lectured them that both are careless and leave everything for me to do.....no response, just a lot of head hanging on their end! Anyway, Joey got up at 3 looking for me, so had to take him back to bed, not sure what was going on, but didn't get back to bed until 4:15, and the alarm went off at 6, hope to be in bed a little earlier tonight.
Work went ok, but after doing the program, they still haven't got it down! The teachers and bus drivers just got their schedule this morning! I guess it's not a big surprise though. Anyway got home at 12:30, so it wasn't bad. I put away my laundry and cleaned Joey's room and dusted, and cleaned a bathroom. Will do ours when DH goes to work. Making a Hearty Ham Casserole and salad and red beets for supper.
Yesterday we didn't do much, I did go to Vanity Fair (the outlets) and got Joey shorts, the basketball kind for $5 a pair and some tops with it, and I got 2 bathing suits for $18 a piece. They are nice, a lot cheaper than Lands End, and they are Janzen, so they are good. Then we went to see Madagascar 3, only cost us $15 for the 3 of us, which was a bargin, we all enjoyed it.
Well, I better go as Dh will be getting up soon. Need to do some menu planning later. I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great evening!
Hugs,
Theresa
Wow Laura, you have so much going on there with extended family.
I went to town to run errands and drove thru a rain shower. Then while in another part of town it was thundering but no rain there, Ed said it poured up north. Came home and couldn't get my garage door to open and thot, oh my the opener is broken. Went into the house, with key, and realized power was out. Had heard there was a huge storm with up to 70 mph winds in DE and we are very close so we were on the end of it I guess. Power didn't come back on till 3:30 but it's back on and house had been cool earlier so didn't get hot, thankfully. Got 1.5" rain so that was good. :)
Just brought in cukes and making fridge dill pickles.
Could have more storms, we'll see.
