Good morning Margie,
I am dreading this "HOT" weather to come. John said it is usually about 10, degrees cooler at the beach than here. I know that it will still be hot there, but maybe not as hot as it will be here.
I am getting everything together that we want to take to the beach today, I will drive John's car in the morning and he will have my car all packed when I get off work and off to Holden beach we go for the next 9 days. We have a battery powered 4 wheeler here for Sammy and Jennifer asked us if we would take it with us so Sammy would have it there. Just one more thing to pack, but we do not mind.
I have no idea what dinner will be, probably take out as I want no leftovers here.
Waving to all the Junes,
Jan
Good Morning june friends....
I have laundry started & I'm going to finish my cleaning this morning as well... Then later grocery shopping.
Yesterday mom brought the boys to swim... Later MIL called to see if it was ok for Dh's great-niece to come and swim for a couple of hrs. So she came and the kids had a blast playing/swimming in the pool. Our neighbor came over for awhile and visited with mom and I for a couple of hrs. as well.
Today sunny & hot... Temp 101*! Looks like it's going to be like this for the next several days... he weatherman said today would be our worst day.
Hope everyone has a good day... Need to run... Deb
Good morning all. Woke up to upper 50s today but to be upper 90s and then only 70s tonight and over 100 tomorrow. Yesterday was mid 80s but low humidiity, not sure what humidity to expect, hopefully even tho hot not so humid. We'll see. Walking in a short bit then may try to make a second batch of the fridge dill pickles and give them to Kristine. Meeting them at Sam's and then lunch with them at Chicfila. It's become a tradition with them when we go to Sam's we go to Chicfila. Maggie loves it there.
Supper will be some kind of salad, have a new recipe I will probably try. Need to pick blueberries again this eve before bible studay. Tomorrow will probably be too hot.
The gully washer on Monday took a bunch of dirt from one flower bed so we filled that in last eve. Also exposed a bunch of bulbs so separated and replanted them too. A spring bulb that isn't planted very deeply. Forget the name but bunches of tiny tiny bulbs.
Will need to mow this weekend, probably in the eve when it's not wet so will be hot but then it will be done.
Not much else right now. Hope you all have a great day.
Jill
Good Morning Ladies,
Another beautiful day here. We'll go about our normal routine, exercises and walking. After breakfast, I'll call my sister. I have cleaning to do too. Supper for tonight will be spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and salad. Last night, we watched our latest Netflix movie, Iron Lady. It wasen't the best movie, but Meryl Streep did a great job portraying Margaret Thatcher.
Margie, I agree too about the air conditioning. It's definetly something we cant live without when the temps get 90 and over.
Thats all for now. Hope everyone has a great day!
HUGS!Denise
Morning:HOT,HOT,HOT! Going to be 102 today,YUCK !
Yesterday was still crazy at work. Had to go in an hour early to do some mandatory testsing.I got 2 out of 3 done.Didn't have time to do the 3rd so will have to do it sometime before tomorrow.
It didn't get much better as the day wore on.Hope today goes better.Just glad to be off tomorrow.
How did we survive no ac back then. All we had was the fans that blew the air around.
Hope everyone stays cool today!
Good Morning June Friends!!
Hope you all stay cool today. I know I will. We are to be around 100° with an extremely slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm or two. I would LOVE to see a little bit of rain. Even though it has been super humid, that will be ending today, my new cooler has been keeping us cool. I can't wait to see how well it works with drier air.
Today I have to take Dylan to an appointment at the mental health clinic. After that, I was going to take Caitlyn to the high school in Tombstone. She is really thinking she would rather go there than the one here. I would prefer it as the fees here are SO high, while in Tombstone there are no fees other than extracurriculars. Tombstone also offers a better selection of electives and smaller class sizes. I am going to call before we drive all that way to make sure we can actually do registration. No point in going out there if they won't let us do anything.
My chili did not turn out last night. Somebody rearranged my spices. I tend to grab without looking at the bottles and somebody put the paprika where the chili powder belongs. Guess I will have to look at the lables from now on. So we just kind of winged it last night. Tonight I will be cooking up some chicken breasts that I put in marinade in the freezer a couple of months ago. It should be tastey and super duper tender. If my tatoes are still good, we will have mashed potatoes, peas and carrots to go with. If my tatoes aren't good, I will probably use boxed scalloped (bad June) and skip the peas. I only eat peas with mashed potatoes or in casseroles, soups or stews.
Guess I better wrap this up. I need another cup of coffee this morning. Lately I have just had to have a second cup. Have a wonderful day my wonderful friends. Hugs and Prayers for each and every one of you.

hello Ladies,
Hard to believe it is thursday already!!
Kim, bummer about your chili - I hate when recipes get messed up! Such a waste! Hope things work out for your dd to go to the high school in Tombstone.
Deb, sounds like you had a nice group over for swimming.
Jan, have fun at the beach.
Today I am heading back out to my sisters house in Redondo Beach to pick up Jason and Tommy. I am not going until later this afternoon cuz we are going to stay for my nephew's all-star baseball game this evening . There are leftover pork chops for Ray to have for dinner since I will be gone.
I am getting really worried about my friend, Adam. He lives in Colorado Springs, Co and I can't get in touch with him. I just pray he and his family are okay and that their house has been spared.
Better get going. Robbie getting antsy for breakfast. have a great day, ladies

Well, criminy..... I just checked in to read todays and post. I guess I was writing with invisable ink again!
Anyways...Hotter than heck here too. Temp at almost 8pm is 91º, heat indexes were around 110 today.
Stayed inside most the day, except to run Sam to town.
Yak (hopefully) at ya all in am....stay cool.....hugs........
Good Evening Ladies! It was hot today, to be hotter tomorrow. It got to 95 today. Joey and I declared this a pool day. I didn't do anything except wash the beach towels and the swim suits. We took his friend with us, they had a good time. I had supper started before I left, made split fryers on the grill, made a rub and then added BBQ sauce, turned out pretty good. Had corn and baked potatoes with it.
Our friends live in Castle Rock in Colorado, and Bob talked to him last night, they are 30 miles away from the fires. Jason works for FedEx in Colorado Springs and he said it is bad there, some of the highways are closed, but there are around 30,000 people displaced. It is terrible.
Well, I better go and get ready for tomorrow. It seemed like a long week. Hope everyone is a great night!
Hugs,
Theresa
