Good Saturday Morning Friends,i hope you all are surviving this heat wave, wow I don't think i ever remember it being this hot so early,if it is this hot now what will next month and August bring.

When to Walmart last night and while in there something happen and the power goes off, they was trying to hurry up and get the people out of there,so didn't really get to look like I wanted to.

So what does everyone have planned for today, beside trying to stay cool? I got laundry to do and need to vacuum some,James & daniel has 2 yards to do,I told them get on them early because it is to get over 103 today, that's to hot to be doing anything outside.

What do you ladies cook when it is so hot outside,i need some ideas and what are you cooking today? Since the Daniel & Emily will be gone to the Race me & James will go get something and go to the grocery store.

Sending good morning hugs & my Love to-Tammy,Belle,Becky,Theresa,Sherry,Sheila,Lisa,Shirley,Carolyn,

    Happy Saturday Morning Junies!

Sounds like most of us are experiencing this heat wave.

Today I am doing laundry.  Not sure if or what else I'll get into. Chance of rain today and tomorrow, it just keeps skirting us and we end up with nothing. Maybe I should hang out my clothes, then it'll rain!

    Enjoy your day!   Hugs..................

Yes indeed it is hot! going to be anywhere from 98-100 today. And that is a few degree cooler then it has been.

Enjoyed my day off.Except for a quick walmart run I stayed inside all day and mouldered.

My girls next to me moved so now I hope i can get some more good neighbors who are quiet. These girls were nice and quiet, never knew they were there along with the forbidden dog they had.I never snitched on them, none of my business.

Back to The Wild Kingdom today, the place I call work.Hope for a decent day.

Ladies, enjoy your weekend and stay cool! Pray for rain, those that need it!

    Good Morning June Friends!!

Hard to believe it is the last day of June.  Less than 6 months to Christmas, so it is time to start buying things on occasion to give as gifts.

Margie, we use our crockpot quite a bit during the summer.  My mom used to have one of those big roasters on her patio, and she used that until it died last summer to make allot of meals in during the summer months.  The grill is also an Arizona favorite.  When I was a kid, we would have sandwhiches about once a week for supper.  We also ate lots of meat salads (tuna sald scooped with an ice cream scoop onto lettuce leaves, chicken salad on kaiser rolls, etc.).  One of my mom's favorite menues seemed to be tuna salad, fruit salad, carrot sticks and ice cream for dessert.  Taco salad is one of my household's favorites.  For whatever reason, we also really enjoy chili during the summer months.  That's us though and you all might not.

Myrtle, hope you get good neighbors.  I always hated seeing good neighbors leave.  When we were in WA, it seemed like we got worse people in until just before we moved. GRRRR!!

Last night, we splurged and went out to dinner.  Won't be going back there anytime soon.  It is a buffet and the employees won't enforce the no kids under the age of 10 without an adult rule.  I told Joe when the kids are all back in school, I will go at lunchtime.  That way the problem is fairly non-existent.  I am also waiting on a call from the corporate office.  I did a customer satisfaction survey and requested a phone call.  There are ways they can make identifying who is what age easy for the staff.

Today is going to be just like yesterday.  I will attempt to get things done.  I have one load of laundry from yeterday to fold, one in the washer and three needing done up.  I will do Joe a favor and stick his uniforms into the washer when my current load is done.  By the time he gets home, they should be ready to wear.

Since Joe has work almost right after school, we will do our main meal at lunchtime and it will be Joe's requested taco salad.  I am hoping he gets out early like he has been lately.  The last two Saturdays he waltzed in about half an hour earlier than I expected him.  Then for supper we will do the ole scrounge something up trick.

Guess I better wrap this up and go turn on the front hose.  We didn't get any rain yesterday (they said we wouldn't) and I want to get the yard looking super before we move.  Have a wonderful day my wonderful friends.  Hugs and Prayers for each and every one of you.

    Morning all!

Just popping in before I get to massive house cleaning. We are having friends over for my birthday BBQ. I didn't get half the cleaning done I wanted to do yesterday, need to vacuum everywhere and mop my floors and tidy the bathroom. DH is supposed to finish cleaning up the back yard. It is usually so hot we hide indoors in the summer but it is only supposed to be 86 last I heard. Our house is small so I hope we don't roast.

Hope those of you who live in the extreme heat take care. Anything over 80 is extreme to me LOL!

As always, the Junes are busy. I read the thread just don't usually comment anymore. If I am on the computer I try to work in my online shop. This month I had a goal of $200 but I am about $35 shy of that. Maybe someone will make a big purchase today. You never know in this market. I am always amazed at what sells so I haven't figured out any trends. So far my sewing patterns are the big seller. I have sold over 50 of them.

Well, guess I will go eat breakfast and get this cleaning frenzy started. Have a great day everyone.

    Blessings,

    Lorrie

    Good Morning Ladies,

HAPPY SATURDAY! Boy, it's another HOT one today! Frank was up and out of the house early. He gave middle ss a ride to the car dealership to pick up his car. When Frank came home, we went for a quick walk, it was already getting so hot, so we cut it short. I took the sheets off our bed, and they're washed and on the line. We just finished breakfast. Not much planned for today, it's so hot to really do anything. Supper for tonight will be piergoies, salad, and corn on the cob. Last night, we ended up getting pizza for supper, instead of the fish dinner I had planned. it was too hot to run the oven. Then, we relaxed in our room with the a/c going, and watched tv.

Thats all for now. Hope everyone has a great day!

    HUGS!

Good morning all.   Another hot one today.   Worked outside this am but in now.  Have cukes "salting" for fridge bread and butter pickles and cuke salad.   Plus taking some to the girls and still have some leftover.  Picked a nice amt of green beans too.

Storm blew thru last night lots of wind and 1/10" rain.  But the worst went north and south of us, so we had very little damage but apparently those other places had lots of downed trees again.  Still the wind and thunder kept me awake.

Meals will be pretty light today, too hot to eat much.   Did go and get a DQ last eve.  Going out after lunch to the girls, Holly needs an outlet replaced then will run some errands.  We are GOOD at finding shady parking places.   LOL

    Have a great day.

    Hello Ladies,

Wow seems most of you are having the extreme weather I keep hearing about on the news.  Stay safe, ladies!!

Thank you all for the advice regarding my sister.  I appreciate your input so much.  I have to share with you all that yesterday at my parent's pool, my sis asked if I would be willing to take her 3 kids for a day or two so she could "deep clean" her house and catch up on paperwork, etc.  I enthusiastically agreed and even offered to come over and help her with the cleaning.  Sooooo glad that my dilema sort of solved itself.

No plans for today except cleaning up around the house a bit.  Ray's company added me to their Costco membership (yay!) so I may venture out and check it out.  I know it will be a madhouse in there but if I am shopping by myself I don't mind as much.

Margie, in the heat we have cold main dish type salads for dinner.  I ofen use leftover grilled chicken, hard boiled eggs, etc.  Very refreshing, filling and healthy.  You could fry chicken early in the day and have cold fried chicken for dinner. or like Kim said, sandwiches or use the crockpot - we used that at the lake last week where it was 113 out .  We made shredded chicken tacos.  Sooo good!

I better get going.  Want to check out fb and get a few things done before Ray and the boys get up.  Have a great day  ladies!

Good Afternoon Ladies!  Hot again!  No pool today.  Joey came home around noonish, and ate lunch, now he is playing with his Legos in the family room.  I made him clean them up before he left, and he did, so after I came home from the store, I vaccumed the family room and dusted the downstairs.

This morning, I made the pasta salad for the picnic tonight, and I cleaned 2 bathrooms, and got the 3rd one done when Dh  got up (he went back a while back), so I took our sheets off the bed and did laundry, right now I'm caught up.  Need to go and see what I can wear tonight.  Need something cool, sleevless I think.  Not sure what we are doing tomorrow.  Will probably go to church tomorrow morning, then maybe pool.  May go out tomorrow evening with my friends from church for dinner, not sure yet.  Anyway, hope it cools down a little tonight to sit on the porch, I'm missing sitting there because of the heat and humidity.  We have huge shade trees in the  front, but it is still warm out there.

Kathleen, glad to hear your sister made a step forward!  Great news!

Margie, we tend  to have salads, grilled chicken ceaser, or tuna melts, chicken patties, last night we had chicken wraps, or pizza, don't really use the slow cooker (Dh doesn't really like that), so I must make fast meals with least amount of oven use, although with the central AC, and the tile floor, it isn't too bad in the kitchen.  But the boys do like fruit salad!

Well, I better get moving here.  Need to send Joey for a shower and get him semi- ready for the champions picnic.  Hope everyone has a great evening!

    Hugs,

    Theresa
