It rained so hard for awhile that the street's where flooding and people got caught in it and couldn't get out of there cars.Suppose to be getting more rain and storms for the next week, they said we could get up to 5 inches of rain. Our power when off twice but didn't stay off long, thank god.

Good morning Margie and all the Junes to come,

YUK!!!! I am back at work today, after being gone for the past 11 days, I certianly did not want to get up this morning. I will take me all day to get back in the swing of things here.

Margie, we got 2 inches of rain yesterday afternoon around 3:30, it poured down for about 30 minutes, and we also lost power for about 25 minutes, thank goodness that it didn't stay off very long. Like you we are suppose to get rain everyday this week.

Our week at the beach was great, but I sure was glad to get back home. John always says," you are home here at the beach, this is our house" but somehow it is not the same as being back in the house where we raised our children. Plus we didn't have Jax with us as Jennifer wanted to bring their dog, which they ended up dont bringing him. It made me so mad. I wish they had decided not to bring him before we left to go, but no they didn't decide this until last Tuesday, the day they left. I was almost tempted to drive back home and get Jax. He was so glad to see us when we got back Sunday.

Becky, prayers for you and your family.

Well let me get back to work, to all have a nice day.

    Happy Tuesday Morning Junies!

Would you two lovelys please share some of that rain! lol...

Still none in forecast all week, maybe next week says the weathermen.  At least it's not so stinkin' hot - in the 80's all week and not so humid.

Today I have paperwork to do for Aux. monthly meeting tomorrow night. We are having our summer potluck along with the meeting.  I am going to make a chocolate trifle. Also need to get my bingo prize wrapped.  We all bring a wrapped $1.00 prize, it's fun to see how creative some get with their prize.  I found a cute little ceramic bowl that is glazed blue with stars on it, looks patriotic - fitting I thought.

Supper tonight will be something made with boneless, skinless chicky boobs.  Have to decide yet what to do with them.

    Enjoy your day ladies!   Hugs......................

Good morning all.  Ended up with a total of 1.5" rain yesterday, most in the morning but had a nice shower in the afternoon.   It is very humid but temps are bearable, once again in the 80s today.  Walking soon and then making a cake for Ed's work, July b-day and it's a hummingbird cake this time, have yogurt in the process of making and some cleaning.   Also got the material out and did more cutting so hope to do some sewing today.

Heading to Daric's tonight to help him put an outlet in for the large ac unit he bought then they are taking us out to eat.   So no cooking tonight.  :)

    Not much else happening today.

63 here now, to be sunny with temps in the mid 80's. So glad it has cooled off as the girls have a ballgame tonight at 8. We've known about this tournament for weeks, but they've made several last-minute changes, which is kinda irritating! Was supposed to run 9th-12th, but we didn't play last night and if our girls win tonight, they supposedly will not play again til Friday and the last of the games will now be on Saturday; hope no one had plans.

Working today, then will get an earlier supper before we head off to the park. Danielle will be a tired girl by the end of the day, as she has VB today too. Not sure about supper; may just do sandwiches or maybe something better will come to me.

Margie, glad the storms weren't severe and your power wasn't off long.

Jan, wow.....would love to have that much rain - I'm with Patti, please send it our way!!! Hope today goes well.

Patti, we have a slight chance of rain towards the weekend, but not holding my breath. :(

Jill, nice you got rain also. Sounds like a busy day for you; enjoy supper out!

Hope everyone has a good day........hugs,

Send some of the rain this way!! We had like a 5 min shower yesterday and so far thats it.

Had a good weekend, hard going back to work yesterday.

Sunday was funny. We were at the evening Church service going to sing the songs.Brother starts grinning and reaches behind dsil to show me what was so funny. The Sunday before they had both babies there.Apperently little Pooh had been munching on a sandwich cookie. Now keep in mind when she eats a sandwich cookie she eats the filling and leaves the cookie.Well when he opened his book up there was half a cookie in mint condition stuck on the page.Pooh had marked her page I guess. It was so funny,we both had a hard time keeping a straight face, and the lady leading the music kept looking at us kinda funny LOL

By the way,he forgot to take the cookie out, good thing they always sit in the same pew every week!

    Good Morning June Friends!!

Had another productive day yesterday at the other house.  Caitlyn's room is now about 90% ready for her to move into.  It will have to be painted (the majority of the house has to be painted) and the flooring changed, but it is clean (almost) and livable now.  Dylan's room is also started.  Joe got all the furniture out that our friends were not able to take with them. We will work on cleaning it tomorrow.  Joe has nursing home (they are doing "clinicals" now), so he won't be home till around 230.  We might go over and try to do a little something for a couple of hours though.  It would be nice to finish up Caitlyn's room and get Dylan's to the point Caitlyn's is at right now.  Did I tell you all that I chose my paint colors for the kitchen?  The main wall color will be spiced cinnamon (think of the color of paprika), the cabinets will be innocent copper blush, the living room and part of the dining room will be light rustique tone.  The other part of the dining room might be the spiced cinnamon.  I haven't decided where I will end the spiced cinnamon yet.  There is actually a good breaking point on the one side, but not so much on the other.

Today I am going to work on this house.  It is GROSS.  It has been neglected far too long.  I am planning on doing a full living room clean and packing up some of the master bedroom.  I was going to do the kitchen floor, but I forgot and left the Shark at the other house.  If I had another mop, I would just use it, but sadly I only have the Shark.  I will try to remember to bring it home tomorrow as Joe will be at the nursing home and immediately go to work on Thursday. I also need to get out my sewing machine and do a repair job on some clothing.  I will definitely keep busy.

Supper will be waffles, sausage and scrambled eggs.  I will also put out some fruit.  Something simple.

I made some Symphony Bar brownies yesterday.  Margie had e-mailed me the recipe awhile back.  It is super yummy.  There is one problem with the recipe though.  It says to use two 8oz bars (which I could not find). I used two 4.25oz bars (I think it was 4.25oz).  With being made in an 8-inch square, the 2 candy bars I used barely fit the pan.  You leave them whole.  SUPER yummy, rich and moist.  Definitely a keeper.  Next time I make them, though, I will use the Symphony bars with the toffee and almond chips.

Becky, sending hugs and prayers to you and DH.  I am so sorry his sisters are being nasty.

I better wrap this up.  Have a wonderful day my wonderful friends.  Hugs and Prayers for each and every one of you.

Morning everybody. So far I think I am going back to sleep as soon as I take a Vicodin. My back actually hurts worse than my foot did, although my foot did hurt yesterday, but not as bad as several of the days last week. I'll work through it. Also have a sinus headache this morning.

I am off today, but have a lot to do. Not as much as I thought I would though. Need to work on a little parish nurse stuff and try to figure out that new form we are supposed to be using for monthly reports. Don't have to go to the mandatory today or the parish nurse coordinator's office, but I should find the model number for that stove and see if Sears has the heating element or has to order it. My toilet float is also broken so Charlie is supposed to come over and fix that plus make dinner. He has a new recipe for orange beef he wants to try that sounds yummy that he got from AllRecipes, so I won't have to cook.

I am also supposed to be going to Bible study tonight but will see how it goes with my headache. Gotta also try to swim today since I never managed to Sunday and will be working next couple of days.

Going to try to scrapbook at least one recipe but maybe one of the fill in pages so it won't take too long. Gonna try to go through a couple magazines and pull recipes from them and will have to do at least a load of uniforms.

Also, when I got home yesterday, got  facebook message from my cousin Deidra in WV. Her mom (my Aunt Mary) passed away last night so I will need to call my brother in TN and let him know. The reason I am not calling brother in IN is that he does not know her. We informally adopted him when they were seniors in high school after his family moved to Oregon while he was at school one day and never told him they were going. Never could figure that one out. He was not a problem kid. Made top notch grades and has done better than any of us ever thought of doing. Even my brother in TN does not remember this aunt. I remember her but haven't seen her in many years. Always thought she was very nice and very beautiful. So I have to go to office and see if I can find Deidra's address so I can at least send a card.

Margie and Jan, please share the rain :-). We have some chance Friday and some chance next week. Think we are probably close to monsoon season here. Checked dew point the other day and it was 40, so not quite yet, but it has been more humid and very hot which sometimes brings in the rain. According to weather service new policy they put a blanket monsoon season from June 15 to Sept 15, but I like the old system better so I still stick with it (LOL).

    Good Morning Ladies,

I don't know what happened. I had an entire post typed up, and thought I posted it, but now it's not there. Anyway, it's a beautiful sunny day day today, but it's warming up. Frank and I took our walk, and now I have laundry in the machine. One more load to do after that. This afternoon, Frank's friend and his wife are stopping by to see the garden. I took a cake out of the freezer, in case they want "coffee and".  Tonight we're going to our favorite cruise. We'll have tuna sandwiches with chips and cucumbers for supper.

So, I was able to get into the dr's yesterday, but I saw a PA. I have a sinus infection, and now I'm on antibiotics for ten days.I guess I'm starting to feel better, but when I'm sick, I'm not a patient person. At least I know I'm on the road to recovery!

Thats all for now. Hope everyone has a great day!

    HUGS!

Denise, sure hope the antibiotics help you feel better soon. Summer sinus infections are the worst.

Kim, can't picture those colors. Maybe can find them on line. Found a couple of them and couldn't find the third, but at least have a general idea.

Havent done a lot today. Did talk to SIL a couple minutes and DB a couple minutes. Love the mango salsa. Rest of the recipe is so so but will use the mango salsa recipe to go with tortilla crusted tilapia when I make it. Found some good Cooking Light recipes today and am doing a load of laundry now. Did a couple scrapbooking recipes.
