Hello Friends & happy Friday,I hope you all are doing well.

Did any of you get to do anything fun yesterday.I took all of your advice and was kind of lazy,I did scrub some in the bathroom and vacuum,then enjoyed outdoors.

Where suppose to get our high speed internet today.Sheila you ask how the phone will work,I will be able to get on the internet and will also be able to use the phone at the sametime,with dialup you couldn't use the internet and phone at the sametime,that is why if someone called me and I was on the computer it would go straight to my answering machine and I missed alot of important calls that way too.

So what does everybody have planned for today? I will tidy up around the house and just chill.Then after they leave might go out to dinner and maybe a movie

Praying that we all get some much needed rain...

Good morning everyone :) It's a wonderful 62º here this AM and we woke to a light rain shower; It's to be in the low-mid 80's this afternoon with a north wind, so should be beautiful out today.

16 years ago today, I married my wonderful, sweet hubby! Not going out this evening, but plan to have an evening out soon. :)

After being so terribly dry, we've received around 2-1/2" of blessed rain in the past 3 days - not enough to get us out of our drought, but so very welcome! Wednesday evening we had thunderstorms go thru at almost exactly the same time as Tuesday and the firetrucks went on a run at the same time as the night before; there had been a couple huge cracks of lightning, so I was really afraid there was another fire, but turned out it was to a car accident that no one ended up being seriously hurt in, thank goodness. Had more storms thru the night and was without phone & internet in the morning, but didn't mind.

I work til around 3 today, then home to work on a birthday cake for a little girl, for tomorrow. The cake is already baked & iced, most of the decoration will be in fondant (Strawberry Shortcake theme). Don is supposed to pick up some steaks to grill on his way home, so will grill those and make parmesan potato wedges & a salad; trying to think of something quick & easy for dessert.

Danielle has day 3 of band camp; I don't remember ever being so excited about band camp, lol!!! Today is extra exciting as they get to try on their brand new uniforms; unfortunately she has to wait for shoes, as the ones they sent are too small - invoice reads 9, they sent a 7!

Good Morning Ladies,

I missed getting on here yesterday. WE had a busy morning, and when I finally had the chance in the afternoon, I figured no one would see my post. WE went to my sister's mi'ls wake yesterday. Today is the funeral, but Frank has a VA appt that has been rescheduled twice already, so we won;t be going to the funeral. WE stayed about an hour at the funeral home, chatting with family, then had supper when we got home. Last night, we watched our latest Netflix movie, War Horse, what a good movie it was, sad at time, but good overall. It's a much cooler day today. it's cloudy now, and I think it's starting to rain. Frank and I have been taking a three mile walk in the morning, it's takes us a little over an hour. Supper for tonight will be fish. I'll make a salad with it, but I'm not sure if I'll make both fries and yellow squash, or just squash.

Good Morning june friends....

It doesn't feel as humid out this morning actually feels pretty good... So glad we have been getting some off and on rain showers... Much needed in our area.  Today sunny & temp around 90*. 

I have a few things done and laundry started~ Errands to run later... May pick up something for dinner.... Not sure if lil man is spending the night yet or not... I'll find out later for sure.

Tomorrow the boys may go swimming in the pool.....

Here are a couple pictures of the church as it looks now, couldn't get any closer at the time. The fire had rekindled at some point Wednesday, they had to take the bell tower down (it was to the left of the front peak) and crews stayed at the scene until Wed. evening. The main sanctuary is a complete loss and they are saying around $1 million in damage. :(  The back portion where the office & Sunday school rooms are did not burn, but had some smoke & water damage; have no idea yet what SIL will do and the church directors are not sure whether they will rebuild or not; it is 150 plus years old.

I am so glad that it is Friday. I will be leaving work arund 11am and John and I are leaving for the beach. We want to stop at this nice little resturant for lunch.  I know one thing for certain, Jax will be traveling with us. I told John "never again would I leave him home when we are going to the beach."

Did two loads of laundry yesterday and watered my flowers. Did make a trip to the dollar tree and had to make a stop at the cleaners.

John and I went out with our best friends last night for dinner at Cheaders. I will never go there again, the service was terrible. The food was good , but the service "bad".

Good morning all.  A very muggy day but only upper 80s.  Ahh, all a matter of perspective after temps up to 100.  :)  Have Maggie today, well am thru lunch, guess it depends if she goes down for a nap before her parents come.  Holly and Daric coming for dinner and not sure about Scott and family, will find out when he drops Maggie off.  Service man to come today, hopefully anyways.  Got some work done on my felted wool project yesterday, no projects today, just play with Maggie.   :) 

Will have cheeseburger salad, if Scott and family come also or BLT chicken salad if only Holly and Daric.  Also cuke salad and melon.  Have an ice cream roll I had made too. 

Ed is off after today until next Thursday.   We go to Lancaster on Monday to visit Mom, good friends (met Ed at their wedding) and then on Tuesday to Sight and Sound to see Jonah.  Then Wed Ed will do some things around the house.   A nice mini vacation.

Margie, hope they get the high speed up.  Love mine.

Last night sleep was way too short. I just dread going back in to work. Just hope and pray the night clinical manager was able to work something out between the pharmacy and the daughter. That is mess waiting to happen on my new admit and if yesterday was terrible with 5, I can only think how bad it will be with 6 patients and if they don't float me, more than likely I will be stuck with the 6 and a lawsuit happy daughter (this is from something that happened in the towers, but I am getting pulled into because I admitted the patient). What a mess. This is one day I would be absolutely thrilled to be cancelled or floated or put on call. Just hope I am not also the team leader again.

Sherry,I'm with you on work.Yesterday was horrible.The computers were slower then slow,and we had part printed tickets,part hand written tickets.We had one frustrated expiditer,and one cook who fussed and carried on the whole time we were serving which is mainly from 4:30 until 7. Me and the gal who was helping load the patient carts had a little fu.She tossed a wadded piece of plastic wrap at the cook,and the cook kinda got a little mad,we just laughed at her.Then when her back was turned I threw a wadded up paper towel at her.She thought it was the other gal,and we just laughed and laughed at the way the cook carried on.Had to do something to keep me and the gal loading carts focused and in a halfway decent mood.

Getting ready for my weekend.Going to DB's house tonite.The kids will be there tonite,suppose to go home Saturday sometime.

  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LISA & DH!!

I had an early morning today, woke up and couldn't fall back asleep, so read for awhile. Then decided to get out of bed since it was 8, but when I got to kitchen and looked at clock, it was only 6, not 8! VERY early for me! LOL Took a walk outside, we finally got rain and lots of thunder and lightning last night after many days of heat and humidity. But hardly any rain in rain gauge. Too bad, could've used it.

Yesterday I watched a cooking show where she was making different things with biscuit dough, so I made a dough this morning, rolled it out, on half I spread bacon bits and shredded cheese and rolled up, cut into slices. With the other half I made cinnamon rolls. Having a yummy breakfast!

How awful about that shooting in Aurora, Colorado. What is with people who feel the need to kill random people? Such sick minds. Hopefully he doesn't get off on insanity.

I wrote about this yesterday, but so excited for DDs and my 3-day shopping trip! Can't wait, leaving Sunday afternoon, it's about 4 hours away. We'll have lots of stops for coffee! I can't keep up with DDs and their shopping, so I'll sit and drink coffee while I wait for them, or may stay at the hotel when I've had enough! Mostly looking forward to relaxing and gabbing.

Today I have to run downtown and pick up DD's passport, hers expired a few months ago, also need to do all the grocery shopping for our camping trip next weekend, day after we get home. Also need to work on laundry...

Good Afternoon Ladies!  Rainy all day today, which is a  good thing, we need the rain. Started off doing good this morning, then while at work, got nauseated again, didn't end well, ended up sick again.  Not sure, on antibiotics again, but they didn't affect me before, so I 'm at a loss.  I came home and rested for about an hour, then had to go to get gas for DH and start supper.  Joey helped me make the salad, which was good, it helped.

Just finished cleaning up listening to CNN about the tragedy in Aurora Colorado. Such a terrible thing, but this one was a genius, a PhD in Neuroscience.  Prayers to all the families involved.

Well, I am going to throw a load of clothes in and lay down until they are done.  I hope everyone has a good evening!

well, I'm sorry I complained about yesterday because today was 10 times worse. I won't even go into details, had to work 14 1/2 hours straight, couldn't even get to the bathroom, called for help several times as it was so bad and part of the time no clinical managers available. At one point the other two nurses got called to the director of nursings office but didn't bother to tell me which left me with 17 high acuity patients and the phones and I had doctors showing up because of one that fell and got hurt that was no my patient and I was having to do extra dressing changes and all sorts of stuff. I am off next two days, but I lost my badge by the code cart when I checked that, so I will have to go pick up tomorrow but at least I can sleep in somewhat. Ugh. Not sure if it is a full moon or not. The one nurse i got report from said she had a pt in 4 point restraints...which is really unusual.
