Here is a pic of the cake I did for my gf yesterday.....I was happy with all except, I could not get the icing to smooth out on top and it really shows up in the picture - it looks cracked, but it wasn't.  Sad

    Lisa love the cake

Patti, I read an article that said you could eat peanut butter (esp name brand ones) but not products made with peanut butter, something about the paste they make is what is used for these products like cookies, crackers etc and that this was made by another company other than those making peanut butter.

    Good Morning June Friends!!

I had my post almost finished and it disappeared.  No big deal as I forgot to open the second window and couldn't remember who I wanted to respond to.  Joe slept okay last night.  He woke up early and took his meds.  I fixed him his coffee and he went back to sleep -- just like my man!!  Dylan slept in my room last night.  I usually let him "sleep over" when Caitlyn spends the night at a friends house.  Since Friday night required me staying up so late and getting up at 3:30 to give Joe his meds, Dylan didn't get to sleep with me.  Anyway, he started laughing in his sleep at around 3:00.  It was so funny to wake up to him laughing.  Then he started talking.  I couldn't understand a word of it.  Today I must clean my kitchen.  Supper tonight will be the pork chops I planned for last night.

Patti, what a busy June you were yesterday.  I think it's a good thing you have nothing planned for today.  After all your accomplishments yesterday you deserve a break.  My kids don't like it when I make homemade mac and cheese.  They never have.  I guess my mistake was giving them Kraft for too long.

{{{Margie}}}, get better soon!!  We love you and want our Mama June right here chatting with us.  Get lots of rest today.  Here's a cup of chicken soup for you Coffee from my home to yours.

Tracy, good luck finding the shoes your son needs.  It would be so nice if the school told you where you can find the needed shoes.  Or is it just that he needs a certain type of soles -- like no black soles?  My kids can wear any shoes in their gym as long as the bottoms aren't black.

Jill, hope your girls are feeling better soon.  Enjoy your cauliflower ham casserole.  It sounds real good to me.

Denise, glad you got to see where Ed works and that you had a good day together.  The laundry's waited this long to be folded.  Why not read and then finish up the laundry?

Deb, have a good day and stay warm.

Cherie, enjoy the birthday celebration.  The food made me hungry too.

Darlene, good luck with the shots and finding good homes.  The pups are very cute.  Beef stew sure sounds yummy.

Sherry, GO CARDINALS!!  (Don't know how I got the print big again).  LOL at your dream.  Have you been watching sci-fi movies as well as eating the delicious foods!!

Lisa, brrrrr.  Hope you have a great day.  Stay in and stay warm.  Your cake looks fine.  To me the lines in the top give it a homemade quality and not a grocery store feel.  Even with the lines, it looks professional.  You are quite good.

Guess I better run.  I want to make Pillsbury Orange Sweet Rolls for the kids.  Haven't had them in a while.  They were on sale and I had a coupon which made them $1 rather than the almost $2 regular price.  Have a great day.

Thanks for the compliments ladies, you're all so sweet!

Patti, scary about the PB isn't it; hate when these things happen, cause you just never know...

Sherry, glad you had a lazy evening, not like it happens often! Funny, funny dream - I never remember any of mine. Enjoy your 2 days off!!

Kim, glad Joe is doing good. Cute about Dylan's dream; Danielle does that often - her room is across the hall, so I can hear her. Love those orange rolls!

    See you all later!

    Good Morning June friends!

{{{Margie}}} sorry you're not well. Praying for you. Hope you get relief from all of it soon.

Patti, thanks for getting us going. What recipe do you use for mac n cheese? I love the homemade stuff!!

Tracie, hope you find the shoes you're looking for! Gets expensive keeping a couple of kids in volleyball shoes, indoor and outdoor soccer shoes... jerseys, knee pads, shin pads, never ends.... LOL

Jill, hope you don't get what your DDs have! Your lunch sounds yummy!!

Denise, I used to enjoy DS books, haven't read one in years. After awhile her books all seemed the same... should try another one of hers, let me know if you like it.

Deb, have a great day with your mom. Has she gotten the test results back yet?

Cherie, sorry about what you're going through... hope you can keep the pain under control. Crazy Italian sounds interesting!! Enjoy the day with your family.

Darlene, so sorry about your little granddaughter, must be very difficult for you to watch from the side. I don't like to take my kids shopping with me either!! Mostly because it costs too much. I remember when they were still preschoolers and would fight, I threatened to put them outside in the van while I shopped, Oldest DD was more than happy to go!! Had to rethink my threats, and come up with something I would actually do! LOL

Sherry, LOL at your dream!! Enjoy your day off!! You're so right about it making a difference which side you're on, the young and in love, or the "old" one! LOL I just think teenagers these days are so into "ME", and that'll never work in a marriage!!

Lisa, enjoy your "quiet" day at home. Let us know how your new recipe turns out. Great looking cake Lisa! You have such talent! You need to open a cake shop!

Kim, hope your DH is all better soon! Sweet rolls sound delish!!

Oldest DD is at work this morning. Youngest DD is still sleeping of course. She has a driving lesson this afternoon, the last one!! I'm glad it's all done, the instructor wasn't any good at all. First of all he had a very strong accent, I couldn't understand him at all. DD said at first none of the kids understood him, but after awhile they kind of got used to it. Don't think it's right having someone like that teaching the kids about safety?? Then each driving lesson is suppose to be 2 hours long, each time they were done after just an hour. One time he had them drive to a store and he went in to shop, the girls had to go with him. But the worst part is he's on the phone while the kids are driving. DD says it happens every time they drive. Scares me!! Just not right. I'll be filing a complaint against him. The school needs to request someone else next time.

Yesterday afternoon DD was goalie for her soccer team. They played against a team they're tied for first place with. What an intense game!! At one point we were down by 2 goals, DD was looking quite frazzled, as was I!! LOL But then our team seemed to wake up, and final score was 7-6 for us!! YEAH!!! It was the last regular season game, so the win made our team league champions!! Now playoffs start.

We have 21 degrees this morning!! Practically beach weather!! Yippee!! Enjoying it before brutal temps are back!!

    Have a great day friends!!

Hello and Happy Sunday to all of the Junes!  Got off work around 10 this morning and made a quick trip to the grocery store before coming home, now nothing planned but to be lazy.  I am off work the next 2 days, yea!  DD has no school tomorrow, so she's staying at DM's house tonight, double yea!  LOL!  DH made chicken and rice last night, so we're having left-overs tonight, I made a pound cake with cream cheese frosting earlier in the week, so we need to finish that up for dessert.

Margie, sorry you're so sick, take care of yourself and get well soon!

Patti, hope you're keeping warm, thanks for the peanut butter tip!

    Tracie, happy shoe hunting, lol!

Jill, hope you've had a good day!

    Denise, enjoy your book!

Deb, have a good time a mom's today!

Cherie, drive safe and happy birthday to DS!  Jayden is gorgeous!

Darlene, good luck selling the puppies!

Sherry, I am a diehard Dallas fan, but we're out now (awful last game) so I'm pulling for the Steelers now b/c of a friend at work.  LOL at your dream!  Hope you enjoy the game!

Lisa, you did a great job on the cake, you're very talented!

Kim, glad DH is doing okay, orange sweet rolls sound good!

Laura, scary about the instructor, my DD takes it this summer, so I guess I need to make sure I'm very aware of HER instructor, I don't blame you, I would file a complaint too!  I would think that he would want to teach the teens that driving with a cell phone is not good!

Sheila, hope you've had a good day!

I guess I need to stir around and get that load of laundry folded that I did yesterday before I park myself with a book somewhere!  Hope everyone has a good night!

Here is the recipe for Mac n Cheese.  It is Margie's recipe!

    Homemade Mac and Cheese

    Ingredients:

    5 cups cooked macaroni
    1/2 stick butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 cups milk
    2 cups shredded mozzarella
    2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper

    Preparation:

Melt butter and pour over macaroni in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix eggs and milk. Pour over macaroni.

Add cheeses, salt and pepper. Pour into a casserole dish, cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes.

MARGIE take care of yourself and feel better soon. Sounds like a good day for you to curl up in bed and read or curl up on the couch and watch tv! Whatever you chose to do just make sure that you are treated like the queen that you are!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LISA great looking cake my Moms birthday is today and still dont know what I am going to do for her... I am a bad daughter this year!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DOWIE I would absolutely complain to the school about the teacher.... not only is your dd not getting what she is supposed to be getting but talking on the phone while supervising student driving sounds like an accident ready to happen, much less using the time to go shopping.>>>>>>>>>>> SHEILA funny, I was just thinking that your birthday was coming up pretty soon... yes, I do remember the date! >>>>>>>> SHERRY have you decided to bottle that energy yet? I would like a case of it.>>>>>>>>> Sorry I have been mia for so long but will try to remedy that.... I have been trying to declutter my room by working on the closet.... the only thing I have decided is that every time I take something out of my closet the closet shrinks! Honest I have less room now than when I started.? Guess I need to start getting rid of more clothes etc.>>>>>>>>>>>>>> By the way I have tried to send the heat to the rest of the country... we are in the 80's today and somehow it doesnt seem to want to leave... so could the rest of you send the cold, rainy weather to S. CA? Sheila you probably have cooler weather than we do, but we both need rain.... how much longer will dh be working on those windows??? I would hate to think of you freezing because the windows were not done.... dont send wind though...we have enough of that!
