Margie, your dinner sounds yummy! Sorry you weren't feeling great yesterday.

Yesterday was pretty bad. I won't go into detail. Let's just say I was an hour late getting off and would have been later if the night clinical manager had not put in the medication orders for my new admit that arrived at like 7 pm.I don't know whether I just wish I would float or hope that today is better. A lot of weird time consuming things were happening yesterday. Got to sleep at 11 and was doing some pretty intense dreaming, none of which makes sense to me. It was sort of hsopital related except it involved somebody I don't know.

After today have 4 more days off.

Can't think of a lot to say right now other than have a great day everybody. I was so tired when I got off, I just ate vanilla lowfat yogurt and some strawberries that I needed to use up.

Kim, glad DN were able to get a place and away from that bad situation and that the family is all helping them find decent furniture to put in it.

    Morning everyone!

It was hot yesterday, got to 90 and the same ttoday.Hate running the ac so early in the year, but suppose to cool down this week.

Margie, sorry you weren't feeling good yesterday.Take it easy today and have a nice visit.

Sherry, hope works goes a lot better for you today.

I had a good day off yesterday.Still haven't found any shoes yet to my price range or satisfaction.Guess I'm just getting picky in my old age.

Guess db is holding his own.Friday night he said he was sick as a dog, this was after he got home. Talked to him yesterday morning, was sounding a little rough but some better.Don't know if he will make it,wouldn't put money on it,but he said he wants to try to go to church today. Don't know if he will be able to sit there for 2 hours,or even make it out his own door, but you got to give him credit for thinking positive and wanting to try it anyhow.

Back to work for me today, hate split weekends,I feel like I should be off today also. Going to be a long day.But vacation starts in 12 days! My friend in Illinois already is wanting to know when I'm coming out to visit her.Planning that hopefully in Oct. if nothing else happens.Think this trip will have to be booked by a travel agent so I can get a motel at a decent price and get a decent timetable on the train.Been trying myself on the internet but the stupid train schedule justs keeps giving the same schedule no matter how I change the time period.I know it has to go out at more then one time every day.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

    Good Morning Ladies,

We FINALLY have sunshine, YIPEE! There are a few clouds mixed in too, but its the nicest weather we've had in a week, so I'll take whatever we get!  Not much going on yet, just enjoying our morning coffee. Frank and I are going cruisin today, and we're both really excited about it. I wont make our usual Sunday breakfast, but will make egg mcmuffins instead.   The cruise starts at noon, but we want to get there after 11. We'll eat there too, so I won't need to make dinner tonight.

Margie, Hope your feeling better soon.

Sherry, Sorry you had a bad day at work yesterday. Hopefully today will be a better day. Just think about your days off, there just around the corner!

Thats all for now. I have a few things to do before starting breakfast. He everyone has a great day!

    HUGS!

Good morning all.  Sunny now, was cloudy most of yesterday so temps never did rise much.  Was busy in the morning then lazy rest of the day.  Make a snickers brownie and took most of them to Scott's.   Had dinner there.  Enjoyed my time with Maggie.  Ed should leave this afternoon, not sure if early or late and be home tonight.  He will be tired, been on the go much of the past few days with work.  Have church and then on my lonesome till Ed gets home.   Ginger is in Baltimore, visited my sister and then on to Timmonium for a meeting for work tomorrow.  staying in a hotel over there and that way doesn't have to leave so early tomorrow.  Will be trying a new hot dog for lunch.   It is nitrate free and organic.  So if it tastes good will get more of them for us.  They aren't too unreasonably priced either.

Have all my plants in the ground, except the sweet potatoes.  The melons are beginning to germinate so then just upkeep.   May pick some young radishes soon.   Trying ones  called black radishes so be interesting to see what they are like.  I let several go to seed as they inhibit cuc/squash etc bugs/beetles.

    Not much else for now.

Good morning ladies..........sunny & 56º here this AM, temps to get in the mid 70's.

This is the first I have even looked at the computer since Friday AM; has been such a busy last 2 days here, they pretty much flew by in a blur!! Friday I made 3 cakes, 2 of them were full sheets, then went to my cousin's graduation party & chaperoned the Jr. high dance. Yesterday AM, I finished decorating the last cake, spent the rest of the day at the ballpark for tournaments. Very proud to say our girls are the Spring Champs, they won all their games yesterday and are 21-0 for the season!!! The parents organized a potluck/cookout for them yesterday during their long break and I think they all had a great time. :) Here are a couple pics.....the softballs on top of the cake have the coaches names and there was one for each of the girls around the sides of it.

Not sure what I'm doing today, besides laundry and a good general cleanup of the house; started laundry as soon as I got up this morning and definitely need to make up menus for the week. Several things I'd like to do, but not enough hours in this one day.....guess they'll get done eventually.

Hope everyone has a great day.............hugs,

    Hi Ladies,

I am using pink today in honor of my sister Priscilla's babyshower later today.  She is having a girl!  Yay!  The shower is at Priscilla's BFF's house and fortunately she lives here in Corona so I won't have to travel.  I am bringing hot artichoke dip with crackers and a big bowl of my "famous" chicken salad for sandwiches. :)

I better get going.  I am running behind on what I need to get done this morning.

    Have a great day

    Happy Sunday!

    Good Morning June Friends!

Earlier I had a post almost ready to hit the post button and the power went out.  We are having thunderstorms and lightning, must've taken out something nearby.  Power just came back on a bit ago.  Ryan is here with Rowen, Ashley is working this 'saft.

Not much on agenda, nothing outside for sure, it's a washout out there. Kids are playing cards. Grampa and Rowen are having cuddle time.  So, I'm going to play abit.

    Enjoy your day!   hugs.......................

Good Afternoon Ladies!  Been busy all morning, woke up with a stiff neck, took 2  Aleve, but still there, may use Joey's hand held massager later.  Cleaned up a little, just need to clean the kitchen floor later.  Got laundry ironed and put away.  Getting ready to go to Joey's game as soon as MIL gets here.  Having her for supper tonight.  I made Lemon Baked Chicken and will have cole slaw and oven browned potatoes and not sure what for dessert.

Sherry, hope today goes better!  : )

Lisa, great pictures!  Loved the cake!  : )

I better get moving!  Hope everyone has a great day!

    Hugs,

Today was a little better, but wouldn't have been except they were nice and gave us one nurse more than we should have had. The acuity is just awful right now and 6 patient was just incredibly awful yesterday. This is what happens when it is like that. In the middle of the shift, I noticed that an endocrinologist had changed an IV rate and had ordered the initial one yesterday in the middle of the worst part of the day where I was literally in tears it was so bad...and I missed the order (it was just normal saline) but the problem with the computerized charting is that they can type orders from their offices or even their home computers and probably cell phones without coming in. Anyway, she snuck another one in on me today but because it was better, I discovered it, but then had to call and tell her I missed it yesterday and the patient never got it yesterday and then fill out an incident report on myself. Ugh. Among the other joys yesterday (not) were a colostomy bag that kept leaking (I changed it twice, pt's family changed it once, and finally the wound team got it fixed) in the middle of when I was trying to pass meds, and a patient who accidentally got his duotube caught in the bedrail and partially pulled it out so spent a lot of yesterday trying to get it fixed. Thankfully I have 4 days off now, so I can take most of tomorrow to have a me day....after I check the pool water and see if I need to order those filters.

Lisa, congrats to Danielle's team. That is a great accomplishment. Hope you get some rest soon.

Jill, hope those hotdogs are good. Did they come from Trader Joe's? I Heard they had some good ones, but haven't tried them! Actually, that sounds really good right now. Wonder if I can find one (LOL)?

Waving hi at everybody. May sleep in tomorrow but will be on eventually.
