Good Thursday Morning Friends,I hope this fine you all doing well and well rested.

Boy did it ever rain here yesterday,for about 45 minutes it rained so hard you couldn't even see the house across the street,then it stopped and got down right cool.Suppose to warm up some today and i think we will see Mr.Sunshine.

When last night and finished the shopping for the wedding,now all i have to do it cook the meatballs,bake beans and make the fruit salad and pack all this stuff up and set up at the reciption,I told the kids when i get all the food out of the fridge and freezer for this wedding it will look so empty,you can't get another thing in either one.They gave me $200 to spend on the stuff and I spend all but maybe $2,so i think i did good and got everything on there list but the pinwheel sandwiches and I replaced the meatball for that.I just hope & pray we have enough food,I have never cooked for 85 people so it was hard trying to figure out how much stuff i needed.I will be so glad when this is over with,then i can breath and stop stressing out,and i feel like beating my sister because she hasn't helped any.

It is to be a nice day today,rain moving in tomorrow and Saturday.Wouldn't you know the two days I am off.

Margie,go ahead and beat your sister,that was a lot to put on you,even with the money,still with no help,wow!

Yesterday was just another day in paradise at work. I call it the Wild Kingdom for good reason.

Not much going on today,counting the days now to my trip.It came so quick.It starts in just a week on the 18th.Excited but nervous.Hope I don't get lost at the airport.This will be a whole new adventure for me.

Margie, it sounds as though you have it all together for the wedding reception and I know that you will be gald when it is all over. When is the wedding?

I didn't do too much after work yesterday. As Margie said , we got the rain as well, but we really needed it. It rained so hard at times it sounded like hail hitting the deck.

I had to move the aera rug in the den, it had gotten off center of the room. When I moved the recliners, of course that put me in another mode and I cleaned the hardwood floors under the recliners and all around. John came home and asked me what I was doing, well , when I start one thing I see another needs to be done. But  I know it is clean now. My housekeeper is getting old and I see things that she doesn't do, so I pick up the slack. I told John we need another housekeeper and he said he was not getting rid of her until she was ready to stop working for us. He has told her anytime she wanted to stop coming just let him know. I have had her since the children were babies.

I am going to the grocery store after work today to get all the things I need for the weekend. Jennifer and family will arrive sometime late afternoon tomorrow.

Chilly out this morning ~ Today sunny & temp 65* or so...

I have laundry started & going to finish up my cleaning for the week as well... Later grocery shopping.  Dh and I plan to relax this evening as well.

Today is lil man's 8th birthday.... I'm not sure yet if SIL is having him cake & ice cream tomorrow evening or Sat. yet.  (Jackson has ball practice this evening.)

Lil man's ballgame got cancelled Tues. eve.  So he has two games Sat. The second game is the make-up game.

Good morning all.   Got a beautiful rain yesterday, rained off and on all day and just soaked in.  My gardens are loving it.  Of course with rain your grass grows so I see mowing in the very near future. 

I just layed on the couch and watched old movies and slept thur parts of them and rested all day.  A bit better today but not up to par.  Ed brought home dinner so that was nice.  Going to just be lazy again today, not going out and have nothing planned to do inside.  They are calling for sun.

My Mom got her mother's day gift, I had a calla lily plant in a nice checkered basket sent to her.   Was glad to hear it made it and she was pleased.  So she called and was quite chatty.  Then Ginger called, she was on her way home from meetings across the bay.   Her washer broke so she is having it fixed, went to Scott's to use theirs and got to try out their new super delux washer.   :)  Has a steam mode and all kinds of neat things.  :) 

Supper tonight is salmon, asparagus from our garden and salad, all the greens from our garden.  :)

Good Morning June Friends!

It is to be dry, sunny and 70º today!

Royce looked at the lawn tractor and thinks that something came loose, he got it tightened back up and will try again today. Hopefully that is all it is.

I'll do the mowing this am. After lunch I'm headed over by Ryan and Ashley's. She has perennials she wants to move and wants me to show her how to do it and then I can watch Rowen while she's busy at it.    So I'll get a little grammy time today!

The Legion Aux. meeting went well last evening. It was election of officers for the next year.  I was appointed Secretary/Historian for another year. 

Margie - GF, I sure hope they appreciate all you are doing for them. And shame on your sister for not helping! Add a smack for me!  Everything sounds delish and hope you get to rest and relax real soon!   hugs......

Dowie/Laura - It was so good to 'see' you again, i miss you gf!  Sorry for the loss of your cousin. Hope things start looking up for MiL real soon.  Hugs GF!

Good morning............chilly 41º here this AM, but sunny and temps to get in the upper 60's this afternoon.

Don is feeling a little better this AM, was afraid for a while yesterday that I might have to take him to the ER; he was running a high temp and was constantly in the bathroom. Got some meds in him, along with some Gatorade (he'd been drinking water) and his temp finally broke last evening; now praying neither Danielle or I get it.

Will head to work as soon as I drop Danielle off and still need to figure out supper; plan to dust & run the sweeper after I get home and also want to make something with the rhubarb I picked at mom's yesterday - yum!!! D has softball practice this evening; opening day of summer ball is Saturday and they probably start playing next week, tho we don't have a schedule yet - grrr!!

(((Margie))) bless your heart, you are a much better person than me, cause I would NOT have done all the cooking by myself! Please try not to stress yourself too much.

Good Morning Ladies,

HAPPY THURSDAY! We're still getting rain, but it should stop by late morning, and we may even see the sun today. This is the last of the rainy weather though, at least until next week. Tomorrow and the weekend look nice and sunny. OH! Frank and i worked so hard yesterday, getting ready for oldest ss and his g/f to visit. Upstairs is all clean, and today I'll clean the living room. I also have white laundry to do, and i want to call my sister. I did my morning routine a little differently today. I usually post first, then exercise, but I did my exercises first, this time. Frank is on the treadmill now. Supper for tonight will be chicken and dumplings, and a salad.

Good morning Junies,

Ir has been raining here for a few days, off and on. Last night it was a wee bit harder.  Today is damp and chilly with cloudy skies.  But it's still early so who knows. 

DH#2 has been studying like crazy, that child is always in a book.  She is taking a final; as we speak and just one more tomorrow.  And Junior year of Nursing School is OVER!!!!!!  She told me if she gets through this year, she will be fine.  Please prayers and fingers crossed.  I told her my toes were crossed also.  Hee -Hee.

Tonight is a quick and brainless dinner, as I have ww tonight.  DH and i are having mexican pizza and DH is having english muffin pizza.  I was in no mood to get dinner thought of last night, as we took an 11.5 miles bike ride. I came home , showered and watched the Yankee game, I  was toast. That is the furtherest I have ever riden by the way.  Tomorrow its just dh and myself so maybe something a little special.  I do have a cut and color after work so it will be later in the evening.

Good Morning June Friends!!

We had some beautiful, Arizona rain yesterday.  The downside is it got downright chilly yesterday afternoon -- 52°.  But oh, the smell and sound of the rain was just heavenly.  I am so glad we are not in Tucson.  They got hit with a Haboob.  What a mess. 

I had a wonderful day with the baby.  She does like to be held too much.  She won't nap for more than 30 minutes at a stretch unless she is being held right up against you heart.   She and I took an hour and a half nap late in the day.  Then Caitlyn held her for about another 30 minutes.  She also detests being wet.  She will fuss and fuss until you change her.  I felt like I wasted a couple of diapers as there wasn't much in them.  However, she would not stop crying until I changed her.  It's even worse when she poopies.  With any luck, she will be easy to toilet train when the time comes.  DN said she is hoping to get her going with toilet training when she starts walking. 

Today I need to get my kitchen back in order, start the laundry and finish cleaning bathrooms.  I am taking it slow and steady with them.  I also have to re-shark the kitchen as the dog sure made a mess yesterday after the rain.  I am thinking pork chops for supper tonight.  I'll make mashed tatoes, peas and maybe some beer bread to go with.

I guess I better wrap this up.  Margie, take it easy as much as possible today.  You are a wonderful person to do all that work without any assistance.  They should be ashamed for not helping out.  Deb,  good luck to Lil' man and his teammates.  Patti, enjoy your grammy time today.  Have a wonderful day all.  Hugs and Prayers for each and every one of you.

Dont have much time to post right now Have to fun to hospital for a wound vac demonstration and so will run by bank and post office while I am at it (and gas station).

We got a totally unexpected but welcomed nice little thunderstorm yesterday. I sat with the front door open and a towel over the laminate with my nook and finished my book and watched it rain. it was wonderful. So rare for it to rain here, gotta enjoy it while it lasts :-). So I didn't get a swim in because about when I was ready to go was the time the t-storm hit and after that it was cool. Kim, glad I missed the haboob. Yuck. Hate those. Never had heard of them until last year when we had two of them. The big one was 50 miles across and I could barely see to drive home 2 hours later...

Going to make broiled salmon with Marmalade Dijon glaze, roasted veggies and not sure what else with it. Will have leftover kabobs for lunch.

Have to do at least 3 mandatories today, do another load or two of dishes, and a load or two of laundry and want to add a couple more recipes. Should clean up the bathroom today if I can, but I don't like to work too horribly hard the day before two hospital days because those days will be hard enough....but do want the kitchen and table clean.

Gotta run for now. Will be back later.

Margie, give your sister a whack from me too. Glad they at least gave you the money, but that it too much for one person to have to do. Good grief.  

Good Morning GFs!

Need to run in a few minutes, get DD out of bed, get myself ready and hit the road. Going up to see MIL. I hired a physio therapist (on recommendation of medical staff) to work with MIL. Talked to her Tues, she was wondering if I'd be at the hospital today when she comes again, she'd like to discuss a few things with me. Was looking forward to going till MIL called last night and said the dr wants to be in room when P/T is there too. I really don't want to see him or talk to him! MIL told me a few more things he's been saying. She needs a new dr, but she likes him!! She likes that he doesn't put her on many meds, but if you need them.... grrrr

Wanted to stop by and thank you for your prayers, love, concern, etc... You are a blessing to me! (Miss you too Patti!)

Margie, you are an amazing woman cooking for the wedding! WOW! I wish I was a guest at the wedding and could enjoy your food!

Good Morning June Friends!!!

What a great day!!! Sun is shining, no wind, not a cloud  in the sky, even the birds are singing a little louder than usual!!!  We started in the mid 30's, but it is already up to 50!!!  I went for a walk and took off my sweatshirt, the sun shining down on me felt so good!!!  We even have a track meet today, in NICE weather!!!  I guess God is smiling down on me today!

Not alot planned for today, didn't get the bills paid yesterday, so will finish that up, and shower, may put some laundry in, but I did most of it yesterday.  Got it folded, ironed and put away also.  Kitchen is cleaned, so I think I'll just enjoy this great day.

Dowie, keeping you family in our prayers,  hope you are feeling better also.  You need to take care of yourself first, can't be there for everyone else if you ill.  So nice that your DH could go stay with his parents, I'm sure they loved having him there.   How is married life for DD?  Is your other DD done with school for the year?

Margie, you are a sweetheart for doing all of that cooking.  :)  I hope you get to enjoy the wedding, and be sure to accept all the compliments on the delicious food!!

Morning to all the Junes, it is a rotten day here, it is pouring and I just brought 4 new perennials and can't even plant them, it is knocking the flowers off of my Jane Magnolia, too bad it is so pretty. I took some pics and will put some on as soon as I upload them to Photobucket.

Margie-Don't work your heart out on that wedding, if you dear sister is not helping you then don't tire yourself out and tell her that you need some help, that is not fair, I wouldn't do it all by myself, that is a stressful job. Dh is in one of his mood swings, don't tell me that men don't have menopause, I have one that does, he is worse than when I have my period, lol. Waving to Myrtle, Theresa, Jill, Jan, Patti, Janice, Sherry, Becky, Kim, Lisa, mypie, dowie, and any others I might have missed.

I cleaned my house really good this morning, dry mopped, and now I am washing rugs, it was either taking it out on the housework or hitting Dh upside the head, lol, which I wouldn't do, I don't believe in violence. He's not usually like that so I just walk away when he is like that and argumentative, if he wants to talk out what's bothering him, then we will discuss it like adults, if he just wants to act like a big baby, then he can go find someone else to ruin their day.
