Dear Deery, I am deeply blessed this morning as the words of these wonderful poems...and I do mean Wonder-Full because they fill my heart and mind with possibilities and dreams, contentment born of spirit and joy that just bubbles and flows like water that knows no strife, nor sorrow, just a little bit of joy left over to begin tomorrow.

I know I have thanked you many times for adding these poems but I have to say it again.  Thank you Deery, may this room ring with your labor of great love forever.

That's great! I hope this "gets around" because many people need to hear this.

Dear Marymitten and Mary, thank you for your responses. I love posting reading for everyone to enjoy.      ~Deery

    God of the glorious sunshine
    God of refreshing rain,
    Whose voice bids earth awaken
    And clothe itself again
    With life of richest beauty
    In plant, in flower, and tree;
Thou God of light and splendor,
    We rise and worship Thee.

God of the hill and mountain,
    Of valley and of dale,
    Whose finger paints the rainbows,
    Thy beauties never fail
To fill our souls with wonder,
    And turn our thoughts to Thee;
    Thou God of living nature
    We stand and worship Thee.

    God of the busy daytime,
    God of the quiet night,
    Whose peace pervades the darkness
And greets us with the light,
Safe with Thy presence near us,
    Wherever we may be,
    Thou God our great Protector,
    We love and worship Thee.

    Here I lay
    A lifeless form
    Waiting for the dawn.
    Weary and alone.
    But I have a home.
    I have a bed.
    I am blessed.

That fatigue will try to get you down every time, but just stand firm and declare that YOU WON'T LET IT! I know I want to just "curl up" and hide from fatigue, but we need to stand up against all that. If you tell yourself you are blessed, and then really believe it (even if it doesn't look like it), you'll see it.

Deery: those poems are great. I hope many people read them.

I'm Spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this Year

I see the countless Christmas trees,
    Around the world below.
With tiny lights, like heaven's stars,
    Reflecting on the snow.

    The sight is so spectacular,
    Please wipe away that tear.
    For I'm spending Christmas,
    With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs,
    That people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can't compare,
With the Christmas choir up here.

For I have no words to tell you,
    The joy their voices bring.
    For it is beyond description,
    To hear the angels sing.

I can't tell you of the splendor,
Or the peace here in this place.
    Can you just imagine Christmas,
With our Savior, face to face?

I'll ask Him to light your spirit,
As I tell Him of your love.
So then pray one for another,
As I lift you eyes above.

Please let your hearts be joyful,
    And let your spirit sing.
For I'm Spending Christmas in Heaven,
And I'm walking with the King.

The naming of teas is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your  everyday games.
Some might think you as mad as a hatter
Should you tell them each goes by several names.
For starters each tea in this world must belong
    To the families of Black or Green or Oolong;
Then look more closely at these family teas--
Some include Indians along with Chinese.

    Because It's Christmastime

    Because it's Christmastime again,
The time of peace-goodwill to men.
We marvel at the reds and green,
    The ever-lovely Christmas scene;
The cards, the gifts, the treasured love
And blessings rich from God above.

It's Christmas on each city street,
The country lane with snow  piled deep,
    While children wait so  patiently
To trim that magic Christmas tree,
    To tuck the packages away
    Awaiting one more Christmas Day.

We greet our dear ones-far or near-
To add our touch of Christmas cheer.
God bless each one-may joys increase-
With new year happiness for each,
A world of peace, a heart sublime-
My wish for you this Christmastime.

Oh my Deery, you have pulled at the very core of my dearest thoughts....books...are worlds you slip into...unnoticed and when you leave...you are far richer than when you came!  I like to think that I become part of the story they tell and my name is etched into the cover and pages with my fingerprints.

Merry Christmas Deery from my heart and hearth to yours!
