    I Am Brand New Here

    Hi Everyone:

    First of all, I wish to introduce myself.  My name is Jeannie and I live in

    North-Central New York State.  I am "two hoots and a holler due north straight as a crow flies"

    from Syracuse.  I have lived here all my life.  My husband and I retired about 5 1/2 years ago.

    We have no children but we simply delight in the everyday lives of our two nieces and our two

    nephews.  Also, we are the very proud Great-Aunt and Great-Uncle to a wonderful little girl who

    just turned 8.  She is quite an little girl.

    Both of us enjoy gardening a great deal.  We do a large veggie garden each year and really

    enjoy canning alot of preserves and relishes.  With the cost of food going up eavery year, we

    both are very grateful that we enjoy growing our veggies.

    Well, I was going to just introduce myself but ended up writing a short novel - LOL

    Hi Jeannie,

    Sending a welcome from West Central Florida - the Tampa area. I've lived here all my life and have been married to my hubby for 19 years and we have 2 awesome boys 8 and 9. I love to cook and write to food columns for the Tampa Bay Times. I would love to garden but have too many critters to do something in my yard. Trying to get DH on board with container gardens. We'll see how that goes!
