  • Hello

Good Afternoon to all of you!!!

I am new to Taste of Home as well as to this chat room.  I look foward to seeing how everyone shares as well as gets along.  My Name is Miranda Allison, I am the mother of a wonderful 3 1/2 year old boy who is a horribly picky eater.  I hail to you from Greenville, SC, but will admit that this is not my state of origin (my family is from the Midwest).  Please share any secrets to getting a child to eat anything other than chicken, fruit, and fries.

    Thank You !!!

Miranda: there's recipes in many of the magazines, and this site, that are fun for kids" tastes. Many of their recipes are cute looking, then kids want to eat. Look in the recipes, in "search" and see what you come up with.

    Always here to chat!

Hope you enjoy living in Gnvl, SC.  I have relatives there.  Its too big for me tho.

Now to try to help you.  You are probably a busy mom no less but just some of the things you make let him "help" you so he will eat more things.  I know it works.  My niece would let the girls sit in the floor and mix up ..say cornbread,  show him how as best as you can. Brag on him and he will do better.  I know that sounds easy but just little things.  If he sits on the floor things don't make quiet as big of a mess.  haha.. from the table to the floor does.  I can think of things the girls used to do and it makes fun pictures too.  Flour on the face , oh yeah, toooo cute.  Nothing is too hard for him, right??  You'll be surprised what/how a spoon and bowl can do.

    Lets hear from you.
