    Good Morning Everyone!

It is 2:30 am and I am ready to do my Monday morning post already! Are you ready to make a pocket card?

Great! Here it is in 15 easy steps:

    1. Cut a piece of red cardstock 12x4 and round the corners.
    2. Fold the card in half and lay it in front of you with the fold side against you.
    3. Fold down the front piece 1" and crease it really good.
    4. Lift up the flap and staple the sides together under the flap as close to the edge as possible. Use only one staple on each side.
    5. Stamp 3 hearts across the front of the flap.
    6. Glue the flap down to cover the staples.
    7. Stamp the word "LOVE" or "VALENTINE" or a big heart on the front of the pocket.
    8. Cut a piece of white card stock 3x5 (do not round corners)
    9. Find a piece of twill or red ribbon cut 3" long.
    10. Choose an eyelet or a brad
    11. Fold your ribbon in half.
    12. Place the ends of the ribbon with the card sandwiched between them at the 3" end of the paper (in the center).
    13. Set the ribbon in place with your eyelet or brad. This becomes the "pull".
    14. Decorate the card anyway you like. You may want it to be a coupon, or cover it in kisses with your favorite lipstick.
    15. Slip the card in the pocket and it is ready for giving!

Small terra cotta pot, painted nad filled with candy.

A 3 x 5 inch puzzle board. Still connected, you write a message to your secret sister then break up the pieces and wrap them up.

Potpourri jar - a small glass jar like a votive candle holder filled potpourri. Then cover it with white netting and a bow.

    ♥Marcia

My suggestion is to make sure you check out the "after holiday" sales! You can get a lot of neat things and they don't all have to pertain to that specific holiday. Like the hot chocolate sets are left after Christmas can be for the winter weather and not just Christmas. Valentine items with friendly messages can be for any time of year.

Also, check online for used cookbooks and such. I was able to get my sister not one, but 3 Gooseberry Patch cookbooks for her birthday (since she didn't have any) on an online site for less than the price I would have paid for one new one! I was thrilled and I think she was too!
Most of us don't mind used cookbooks as long as there isn't any used ingredients included (LOL)!

Yard sales ----- I LOVE THEM!!!! A lot of times you can get brand spanking new items that someone got as a gift and just didn't want and didn't take the time to return, for a great price. I even get a lot of things for my daughter this way and keep them for Christmas.

Also at the yard sales I pick up blank cards for sending messages to my SS or even stationary. At a wonderful price. I think I got a selection of about 100 blank cards last summer for less than $1.00. Recipe cards can sometimes be found this way too.

Basically, just send anything that you would like to receive yourself. Even if it is just a simple thing like a bookmark with a cheerful message or a puzzle or just anything (even a Rada knife -- LOL -- I LOVE MINE!!!!)

And, if you are crafty, which I am not, send a homemade item. There is nothing better than that. I was lucky enough to win a handmade dishcloth from one of the posters on the BB and it is just beautiful and means a great deal to me. I won't use it ever, just for display and explaining where I acquired it. That's just an example so you see what I mean about how special things can be.

And try to include some personal information if you can. Sometimes it's hard since we have already shared so much on the BB and don't want to give ourselves away. I know I enjoyed any personal notes, even if it was just letting me know my SS was thinking about me!

Oh, and if I remember, if not, someone please remind me, when I go home later, I will post the website for a place where you can create your own "word search" puzzles with hidden messages for your SS, in case anyone is interested.

Obviously I won't be sending any since I did last time and don't want to give myself away. But I don't mind sharing!

For those that love Flylady (like I do) the 15 minute timer would be a great gift!! :0) Just an idea.....

Umm, potpourri is nice, if the person likes to sew, what about a cute lil decorative type pin coushin?

My secret sister was sweet and found some scrapbooking things for me-they were so cute!

What about homemade mixes? There are so many that you can make, cookies, soups etc. For Christmas I gave some and they were well received. :0) My family knows that my favorite room in the house is the kitchen.

Hugs to all of you sisters!!
