Good Evening!
Back to work today - lots to catch up on - which keeps me motivated. When there isn't much to do I prefer to just not work (but need $$$ - LOL)...not too good at goofing off. In fact, I really need to goof off a I little bit more - I mean be more social. I just go in, get focused, stayed glued to my task - I guess I should get around a bit more!
Then came home and cooked some chicken. Having green beans and mashed potatoes with it. Jon is working tonight at the Reds game.
Sid is outside in the front yard - hardly any shade - but that is what he likes. Rob is with him now. I need a mini table (like a tv table) to take out there so I can get some things done. This is going to be a hard term at school - but 6 weeks and I then I get a break!!! I wish Sid would go to back yard as I have a table back there and it is much shadier - about 5 degrees cooler. He does spend some time there - but seems like more in front. Can't blame him - more action out front.
He is hallucinating some - hearing music. And thinking processes aren't quite there.....some reasoning is gone with this last stroke. He thinks Jon's brother is going to steal from us! I have to LOL - so not true!!!! Oh well. And he is grouchy - more so than usual, but that's a story for another day!

My Girl
Andrea, when Ron had his strokes, he hallucinated quite a bit too.. It took awhile for his memory to come back and to hear and understand things that are being said....Ron forgot a lot of things and I spent a lot of time taking him to places he said he has never been, but these were all places that were familiar to him before...He forgot peoples names and knew a lot of people from working at Sylvania....We used to go to Walmart and he would walk around and many times met people he knew or worked with and didn't know them.. He would explain that he had a stroke and it effected his memory and that he couldn't place them... Going to Walmart at the time was almost like therapy...When Ron had the first stroke and I drove him to the hospital, he wondered off and we couldn't find him...He sure did a lot of strange things at the time, and it took quite awhile for him to regain memory...It is a good sign that your FIL is eating well and out and about some....
My glue gun came in the mail yesterday so I can start the candy bouquet.....I love glue guns as they are handy for so many things... All the candy bouquets look lovely and I can not wait to make mine....
Well, I gotta get Mom up and get the day started..Everyone take care... Waiving to Marian, Eloise and Pat...Hope you are all doing okay....

Good Morning! Thanks so much Pat.
Hey - are you guys ready for the July 4th Party? Karen how's the pool lookin'? I worked on the cookbook last night - but had to put it away before I wanted to - so will work on it again today! It's looking pretty good - with lots of very yummy recipes.
My goal was to have these books to you by July 4th - and it still is. However, I am a little worried that with our new family addition I might be slightly delayed. I know we will have some recipe prize winners in the next couple of day!!!!!
Will check back soon - it seems awfully quiet around here lately......my voice is echoing!
The pool is clean, cool and ready to go! I hope to post a picture on fb later today showing the preparations we are making to host the best 4th of July party the neighborhood has ever seen! Get your swim suits and pool toys ready, ladies... we're sure to have a splashing good time!
