LOL! I think I have been sick for so long that I am now delirious! LOL! Actually, it seems that so many of us are struggling with colds, pneumonia and what now, that I am having trouble keeping up with all and how they are doing health-wise.
If you don't mind my doing this, I would like to make this the meeting place for us to update everyone on how we are progessing in our health battles.
I hope that all the sisters who have been or are currently ill post here so that we keep on eye on both celebrations of the return to health as well as those situations that need our prayerful attention! Thank you!

I'll go first since I went back to the doctor today and have an update.
I am still ill and the doctor was concerned that the first round of antibiotics didn't take care of my infection completely, so he put me on a much stronger antibiotic today that is often used to treat serious pneumonias and he he wants to see me again in two weeks - sooner if I don't show signs of improvement by early next week. My blood pressure was sky high today as well, so that was also a concern, but he felt that it was due to how sick I have been. He didn't address that but wants me to keep an eye on it.
Fortunately my family is all on the mend, so I am the last holdout! And with this new antibiotic, I am hopeful that I will be joining the ranks of the healthy again soon! I am trying my best to maintain a positve attitude about this now that I have more meds.
My battle cry: Crud, BE GONE! LOL!

Okay, I know that there are several others out there who have been under the weather with surgeries, various "bugs", pneumonias, headaches, etc etc etc. Who is going to post next?

I have been battling pneumonia for about 2 weeks now. I'm sure all the stress that I have been under coupled with depression has wreaked havoc with my immune system. I am better, just not 100% yet. ~ Jeanne
Jeanne and Simple Soul, I am sorry to hear that you are sick.. I have had pnemonia in the past and know from experience, that it sticks with you quite awhile.... Last year, when I had bronchitis, the doctor gave me a kenalog shot, steroid, which helped me get over it fast.. I vowed, if I ever had bronchitis again, I would never leave the doctor's office without that shot....LOL Lets hope and pray that spring comes and makes us all feel better....I know I am so tired of this cold damp weather and can hardly wait to plant flowers and be outside and enjoying some nice days...
I took Fosamax starting the end of Dec. for almost two month...This osteoporosis pill gave me nothing but problems with my stomach....I stopped taking it in February, on doctors orders, was fine for about a week and started with stomach problems again...I spent Monday in at the hospital getting tests and found out yesterday, that I have an ulcer....I see the doctor again today to discuss treatment....I am sure he will put me on antibiotics and of course, watch my diet.. I have wanted to lose weight and boy, I sure have done that...LOL I really don't feel too bad right now and am relieved that my stomach problems are something that can be fixed.... I don't know if he will blame the Fosamax for my ulcer, but he will have a hard time conviencing me otherwise....
This is sorta funny.. When I told Ron, I had an ulcer, the first thing he said was..."you know who you got that from?" (he meant Mom) Then when I told Mom, she blamed Ron...LOL I tell them both now not to mess with a person who has an ulcer...LOL

I too have been sick but do think that I am on the way to recovery. After 3 weeks, yes, I said 3 weeks, of feeling yucky, tired, stopped up head and pretty puny, I went to the doctor and she said that I still had swollen glands and said she thought it was from allergies. Meanwhile, the blood pressure meds that she prescribed are not really working and I have diagnosed myself as that being the reason for the tiredness. But, you know what? Life goes on for the weary. Get better to all my sisters in miserary.
