Charney...
What a wonderful surprise to find your package in my mail box today!!! What a fun package!!!
I received 3 bottles of bubbles...a red, a white and a blue one...my inlaws are coming in this weekend and my nephews will enjoy these, as well as the cupcakes I am going to bake in the red, white and blue paper cupcake liners with the flag picks to decorate them with!!!
I also received a packet of Dunkin Hines Frosting Creations flavor mix in White Chocolate Raspberry flavor...this will be perfect to top the cupcakes with!!!
I am anxious to try the Weber Garlic and Herb and the Teriyaki marinade mixes...its funny, I purchased these marinade mixes when I was in New York last month to mail to Amy and Roberta but I didn't buy any for myself and when I got home, I wished I had because they sounded so good with the addition of juice...now I can try them!!!
Nutmeg loves her new toy!!! She is funny...every time she sees me opening a package, she is right there thinking it is something for her...LOL. Her favorite toy is the one you sent her last month...it is a mouse with a feather and a bell on it and it has a long elastic string attached to it...Jim tied it to the back of the chair that she likes to sit on and she is always playing with it!!!
OMG...I was so surprised to find the Godiva gift card inside your card...I love truffles and they have awesome truffles. Jim use to buy me Godiva truffles when we were dating...he stopped though when we got married....something is wrong with that picture...LOL. We will be going to Mohegan Sun on Monday so I can check my brother in law and sister in law into the hotel there because I was able to get them a free room. There is a Godiva store there and I will be shopping there that day...Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for the card you sent and for such a wonderful package full of surprises. I too am having alot of fun this round! I am really looking forward to our trip to Florida in August and being able to finally meet you in person!!!
Hugs,
Corinne
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away!
I too have a thank You for Charney,
Thank you for the Red White and Bue bubbles.......and the Patriotic cupcake papers and picks. And BLUE (cotton candy) flavored frosting......... can't wait for one of the girls to make these this weekend!
you are so thoughtful.
Hope that you have a great weekend.
My neighbors, Paula, Karen and Andrea have been soooo good about keeping my spirits up during my recovery period with the funniest cards!! Just when I think it can't get any funnier, I get another that makes me just as hard. Today's from Andrea is a team of surgeons around "my"/patients leg proudly annoucing that almost anything can be fixed with duct tape. LOL LOL Well, mine has been removed but I think of it everytime it is "draped" with the ice pack. Freezing the pain is a good thing, even using "duct tape".
Now for the other reason for this thank you note...As a temporarily home bound patient, I have to tell you how much the traveling adventures meant to me to read on a daily basis. You and Karen held nothing back and kept us smiling and wishing we were there.
And now...I find a package in my mailbox today! This "gimpy" neighbor, is soooo pleased just knowing that you thought about me. A "just add water" to a Beignet Mix!! Never have I seen this before. I do believe Ed will love to make that for my special weekend breakfast. Since it makes 12, I do believe that you'll know we are ready to share. The surprise does not end with the beignets, as if that alone would have been enough. The Shrimply Delicious "mix" is watering my mouth already. The spice mix includes the recipes for a cold dip, shrimp salad, sandwich and a hot dip. OMG I am sooo ready! I LOVE shrimp, my favorite seafood. And to top off the exciting options to perk up the flavors in culinary adventures in our southern kitchen is Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning. This is the best! It can be used on anything, shrimp, soup, eggs, salad, and even chicken (please Ed, no more chicken for awhile). lol
Andrea, you have been so thoughtful to think of others when you have so much on your own plate. Thanks for brightening up my day and I pray that yours will see sunshine too.

I would like to thank Charney for a wonderful package today. I got red blue and whitel cupcake holders with flag picks, a duncan hines frosting creations flavor mix in cotton candy and red, white and blue little containers filled with blowing bubbles. Thank you so much
I have to tell you all what a thoughtful partner and neighbor I have! Andrea Glassman sent me a wonderful retirement package. She and Karen have been traveling to New Orleans to visit Andrea's son and take part in a cooking school while there. I know we have all been following their wonderful trip. Well, apparently Andrea spent a goodly part of her vacation shopping for lil' ole me!! I don't even know where to begin. This package was full of wonderful, new to me, spices. There was a cookbook to teach me how to cook New Orleans style, a cracker holder, cheese spreaders, two great glasses to make a drink called a Flip Flop (wine, fruit and gingerale), cocktail napkins, a sweet bowl with the most wonderful purple polkadots, an interesting knive encrusted with colorful jewels -- this has to be my favorite item as it is so unusual -- dip mixes, vinegar toppers, and a sweet sweet note from my buddy! Andrea thank you! This is the most wonderful retirement gift I have received. Hugs,
Paula

OK - I am doing the happy dance!!!!! I just wasn't sure what to get....but I wanted it to be fun. I wanted to mail it from New Orleans - but with the glasses I couldn't get everything to fit in the box and had to wait until I got home! I thought - my goodness she's going to forget that she retired by the time she gets this!
So my theme - relax and have fun! I see you on your porch or deck in the afternoon with a nice glass of wine or wine spritzer - or your favorite drink. I love to have cheese with wine - so that pretty knife is a cheese knife - I think it is sharp enough to cut a hard cheese! You can have some dips.....some time ago I took a bottle and put a pour stopper in it - kind of like what you see in a bar - so when I saw those I had to get them for you - they have the little flippy lid that keeps stuff out - you can use one for oil if you like - I have had mine for years. Use the bowl for some chips to have with your cheese.....relax and have fun. I am so happy you like it!!!!!!!!
PS - Did you like that card?!

Dear Cindi,
Thank you so much for the nice anniversary card and restaurant.com certificate, you are very sweet!
Terri:)
Just checked the front porch cuz the DH told me there was a box out there... What a WONDERFUL surprise... a poppin' 4th of July party tin full of red white and blue popcorn from Nancy! The tin is HUGE and so festive. Thank you, Nancy! I haven't had time to tell anyone that my daughter got the job at Harpoon Brewery in Boston (she's a graphic designer and just graduated from college in May). We're driving her back out to Boston (a 16 hour drive) on Sunday and the popcorn will be the best snack along the road. Thank you, Nancy, you always think of just the perfect thing!
Karen
Hi Corinne,
Just got home and found a package on my porch.
You always know how to make my day.
I can't wait for the girls to see my new sunglasses
I will wear them to the July 4th picnic. Dress to impress is my motto.
The blue bird wind charm is adorable. I hung it out by my pool, which
by the way it is too hot to stay outside right not. The wind chime is silent
at the moment (no wind just heat). Maybe tonight. The best are the lottery tickets.
When I call you , You can walk me through it. Since you are the luck person.
I know you are at the Casino right now I hope your relatives will enjoy the
week-end. Talk to you soon so we can share the winnings from the tickets.
Thanks for this wonderful happy package. Happy July 4 see you at the picnic.
