Good Moring Ladies - How can it be that the month of June will be but a memory after today? I always feel when you hit the 4th of July, summer is half over, and on the downhill slide - - I'm just not ready for that to happen. I got a call from BIL yestrday to meet them for supper last night, and we met at that really good burger place - but since it was Fri. they had a fish special that I tried, and it was wonderful - there were 4 pieces of fish and I brought 3 of them home. I'm really trying - - but you know how it go's. Cook, after my last MRI, they said they wouldn't do the surgery until I loose some weight. We all know how that go's - well, actually, you may not, with your little slim and trim body. I'm trying, but I don't know if I can wait that long - I'm up and down so much during the night. Glad you got some rain - I had a few sprinkles on the windshield last night, but not enough to turn on the wipers.
My heart is with Dori and her DH and Laura, your DDIL and their family. Lots to deal with at the present time.
Nothing planned for the weekend or the 4th - Just a boring time, but guess it will be good to rest up and stay in and keep cool . Take care everyone.
Good morning, Jane, and anyone else looking in.
I was up and at it at 5:30 this morning trying to beat the heat in the garden, which is almost peak.
I lasted 2 hours before the back made it impossible to do more.
Jane, are you considering the bariatric surgery first? I can only imagine your pain; and believe me I do know losing weight, especially the older get is pretty darn hard to do.
I met Lisa and Lila for lunch yesterday; since they moved to New Hampshire I don't see them that often; so it's a treat.
Valerie and the grands will not be here until tomorrow.
It's so darn hot I may even jump in the pool; other wise I will do nothing.
Good morning Rosies!
Been awake since 5:30. DS#4 went to a party in Portland last night and needed a ride home. Of course, it's better than him or a friend driving so off I went. Will get a nap in today. DH is driving, but just locally so will be home for dinner.
DIL is getting along. She's finding it hard to stay down, of course. Her condition is a subchirionic hematoma. Hoping it all goes away soon. Her grandpa died last night so she wants to attempt the funeral next Friday. The doctor has given her explicit instructions how to do so.
Not much else here. Weather is around 70°, but muggy.
Later!
Some days, I can literally see the testosterone floating in the air around here.
