I love Quick and Simple but many recipes start with the canned bread doughs. The biscuits, breakfast rolls and crescent rolls are FULL of transfat (not just a little). My doctor says that transfats are as bad for us as smoking. Should the magazine be promoting such recipes?

I have come to the conclusion that TOH in general takes a "hands off" approach to any and all recipes, so they can't be accused of making decisions in re anyone's personal choice to poison themselves or their family. I have seen some ridiculously outrageous values for things known to Science to be hazardous to human health: dishes where the sodium level for that single dish exceeds the recommended Daily allowance; unbelievably high levels of saturated fats and other values that informed and concerned people are watching.
