I'm speaking on behalf of my wife and I even though the subscription is in her name. We enjoyed the piece you had on the younger chefs article. We don't recall seeing this in any of the previous issues. We have a grandson who is in junior high who has loves to cook and has had, among other career interests, in becoming a chef after he graduates. He will make something simplified to put together for his mother for supper when he gets home from school. She works all day and his dad, who is a paramedic, works extended shifts and isn't home for extended periods.

He puts together simple recipes that he can put together. His grandma (my mother) has given him some Taste of Home recipes that she thought he could do. We don't recall seeing any previous articles on the young chefs out there but think this should be a regular feature in the magazine.

We subscribe to both Taste of Home and Taste of Home For 2. Thanks for your outstanding work.

First, I would like to welcome you to the Taste of Home Community Bulletin Board. I see that this is your first post. Hope you and your wife stick around as there are a lot of friendly, helpful folks on the boards.

Actually, the Young Chef or Kids Who Cook article is pretty much a regular in the magazines. However, they can only have the article when people contribute to it. I know it has been in some earlier issues. I would recommend your sending Taste of Home information on your "young chef" grandson and some of his meals. I'm sure they would be interested. In Taste of Home magazine it is called Kids Who Cook. In fact, you can nominate your grandson to be a junior field editor by sending a photo and story to: jrfieldeditors@tasteofhome.com

    Hope this helps.
