I've been married 28 years and have 2 kids and 6 grankids. What can I say, I love to cook!!! My mother was an excellent cook. She hardly ever used measuring cups and spoons. It was usually measured in the palm of her hand. The only thing I really regret is not getting my mom's yeast roll recipe, she passed in 2002. It was "to die for". Her rolls would be so fluffy and soft... I can taste them right now. I like to try new recipes but with a meat and potatoes husband, it's hard to do. I love all kinds of veggies. I was raised eating fresh veggies from the garden; tomatoes, onion, garlic, peas, beans, squash, zuchinni, corn, peppers, carrots, radishes, cabbage, etc... My husband and daughter are hard to please in that area. They are just not open minded to new things. They are so stuck on the same things over and over.
My homemade beef enchilidas. My family just loves them, even my finicky eaters. I make my enchilada sauce from scratch. Sorry, I don't give out that recipe!!! And, the salsa that I made this year is just great. Now my husband, son and son-in-law can't say "It's not hot enough". LOL It makes my nose run....
Gosh, that is quite a question. I've had many of those, especially if I am trying to make something for the first time.
When I'm cooking for my family or friends, I give it my all. I put my heart and soul into every thing that I try my hand at. I want each dish that make to be the best that I have ever done. It doesn't always turn out that but I'm not going to give up. Also, don't forget to give thanks to God for all that he has supplied. HE will meet all your needs.
