I enjoy cooking, but I really love baking. I feel proud when my husband or my children come up home and they can smell the baking bread aroma.
When my son was in his last year at Middle school and ask me to bring "a cake" to his classroom. I baked a "Rosca de Reyes" (King doughnut). I'll never forget my son's face when I arrived to his classroom because his classmates were trying to watch what was in my hands that smelled so tasty. When my son arrived at home that day, he gave me the biggest kiss I can remember!
When I was trying to cook a new recipe for my husband birthday party. The casserole was a complete disaster because ONE of the suchinis was sour. We have to call for pizza!
My cheese cake. This isn't "a party" cheese cake, but it's my granny's recipe and even when it's very old and I baked it for my family very often, is a complete success when I have guests: Mix 6 eggs, 1 pound of cream cheese, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix them well and pour the mix on two pie crusts (my grand mother used to make her own crust, but I can't even remember where I left the recipe). I bake my pies 30 min., 350° F
