About Me: I am married - it has been 25 years now! We have three kids, one daughter and two sons. My family is my top love and priority. I love being a wife and mom. We love our church and are a spiritual family. And, I love cats! Being raised on a farm, we always had several cats, both as pets and as barn cats. One time when someone asked how many we owned, my dad got this funny look on his face and said "cats galore, that's for sure!" My user name comes from that memory.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: I felt like I had finally become a "real" cook when it finally became my turn to fix the family holiday meals, both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was so nervous! Things went so well that year however that it has now been passed down to me and we now host the meals since my mom is too ill to do so.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: For some reason, I cannot seem to fix a good pecan pie! My worst disaster was with one "fail-proof" recipe that spilled all over the oven, creating the largest mess I have ever made in the kitchen. It seemed an eternity to completely clean the oven after that! LOL! If anyone has an awesome tasting - and tried and true - pecan pie recipe, I would LOVE to have it!

My Food For Thought: It would be nice if the Food and Drug Administration stopped issuing warnings about toxic substances and just gave me the names of one or two things still safe to eat. ~Robert Fuoss
