About Me: I'm a 51 year old SAHM, happily married to a wonderful fellow , have 4 children, born in 3 decades. My youngest is 9 and my oldest is 31. I also have 2 grandchildren, 10 and 11 years of age. I enjoy cooking and gardening, knitting and crochet. I homeschool my two youngest, which I think they enjoy almost as much as I do ;-) We live in the country along the Southern Oregon Coast. We don't make it to the beach nearly so often as we should, especially considering how close it is, but we sure enjoy it when we do manage it! Among other things we enjoy about living here is the wild edibles, from fish and seafood, to mushrooms and berries. I also enjoy playing with my blog: Boondock Babble

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: I guess that probably changes week to week.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: The chili that wouldn't die!Many years ago I tried making homemade chili, but didn't have chili powder, so decided the dried chilis (with seeds) I had in the cupboard would be a fine substitute. That had to be the hottest chili in human history! And it wouldn't die! I made a huge pot of it, figuring we'd have leftovers. I tried everything I could think of to tame it enough that it would be edible, but the fire just wouldn't go out.
