My Greatest Cooking Triumph: Transforming my son from a picky eater to an adventurous one who will try anything with an open mind.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: As a teenager, I once caught the table on fire when serving a meal to my family! We bowed our heads to say Grace, and when we looked up, there were flames! It was a potholder that had touched the stove eye when I was bringing everything to the table, and I used the potholder to put underneath a hot dish. My Dad was thinking fast when he flung the potholder out the back door into the rain, saving the day.

My Food For Thought: Any day above ground is a good day.
