About Me: Retired in 2001 (RN), moved from Pennsylvania to Florida. I have 3 children, 9 grandchildren. We live in a retirement community and I am very busy with my friends and social activities.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: I love to cook but DH and I are both watching our diet, so I don't cook or bake as much as I'd like to. When my kids were little, I used to bake and freeze 20 or more kinds of cookies for Christmas, beginning around Thanksgiving. I would put a few of each kind on a large tray, wrap in plastic and freeze. As the cookies were eaten from the tray, I would replenish them so we always had a great assortment. My kids still talk about that!

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: Hmmm, haven't had a disaster in a long time. Last one I remember was about 15 years ago when I pulled a 20-lb turkey from the oven and the broth spilled out all over the oven and the floor (with 18 people in the dining room having cocktails and appys and waiting for dinner!)

My Food For Thought: Give and get at least one hug a day!
