I'm a newlywed housewife and I have a lot of time on my hands to learn new things! I have loved cooking since I was a young child and want to learn everything I can! I love trying new things when I cook and I love food! I am not a picky eater nor is my husband.. so we'll try just about anything!
I have had many triumph's in the past year. I started cooking more for my parents before I got married and more now over the past 6 months since then. Just cooking for my family and anyone that comes over and seeing them enjoy it.. is a great triumph for me!
One Sunday afternoon I decided to try my hand at making eggs benadict. The first time I had it was on our honeymoon in Sept. '07. I had a recipie for it but only said to "season to taste". Well.. I hadn't tried the sauce yet and I figured with it being made with eggs it would need some salt. Unfortunately I added WAY TOO MUCH salt. My husband and I tried everything we could to try to remove some of the saltiness but nothing worked. He headed up the next time we made it, right after that, and it was much better! The one he made was great.. but mine was nearly uneatable because of all the salt!
