About Me: I'm single and live in a small town in NE Missouri. My full-time job is administrative assistant to a state court judge. I also have a catering business which sometimes occupies my weekends and evenings. I have a circle of the most wonderful friends and family you could imagine.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: I was most proud of fixing my first meal for my family when I was about 8 years old. My Mom and Dad were working in the field and when they came in to get something for supper I had fixed a meatloaf and mashed potatoes! I have no recollection of how I made it, but I remember they were flabbergasted that I had done it by myself.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: Kitchen disasters? Where do I start?!? When testing out a new recipe for a shrimp scampi-type dish to possibly use for catering, I fixed it for my best friend's family. Her sons said it was so bad they were going to have to "go lick the dog's butt to get the nasty taste out of their mouth." Lovely picture, huh? Another incident was when I was fixing a HUGE roast and let it cook very slowly all day while I was at work. When I came home the roasting bag had broken and the meat juices were in the bottom of the oven and had run out under the door, onto the floor and under the stove. GADS, what a mess!
