About Me: DH and I are retired. We have 4 children and 9 grandchildren (none close enough to love on everyday). I envy those of you who have grandchildren close by. We enjoy traveling - cruises and RVing. We're active in our church and I enjoy volunteering there and in our community. I love to cook and sometimes do luncheons and dinner parties for friends who want to entertain, but don't like to cook. We have a house on one of the barrier islands off the coast of N.C. (Hurricanes make me extrememly nervous!! ) and that's my favorite "get away" spot. I like to seek out new places to visit, and I enjoy meeting new people. I dont collect anything ...well, maybe cookooks , but I've run out places to put them, and I can't bear to part with any.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: Singlehandedly prepared and served (well, ok, I had help with the serving) a sit down dinner for 40 people.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: I accidentally set a large pyrex dish of Lasagna on a hot burner. Our entire dinner exploded in a mess of shattered glass, tomato sauce and pasta. Luckily no one was hurt.
