About Me: I am a happily married stay at home mom. Before my current role, I was a Human Resources Benefits Specialist and Executive Assistant. I hope to eventually re-enter the workforce but right now I am enjoying staying home with my daughter who will be 3 in March. I've been married to a wonderful man for 5 1/2 years, although we've been a couple for 12 years. I love to take long walks and spend time with my family and friends.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: Believe it or not, it was realizing how to make perfect rice. For years I mastered difficult recipes but perfect rice always eluded me. It would come out simultaneously crunchy and gloppy. Finally, I listened to a cooking show and did NOT lift the lid when it was cooking. Who knew the solution was that simple??!! Also, another cooking triumph was discovering how to brine a turkey. Thanksgiving will never be the same and I mean that in a good way!

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: Oh boy, it could be the black chicken that came out of my crock pot or maybe a cake I made a hundred years ago that bounced back at me when I threw it in the garbage can!!! Maybe it was the fire I started in the toaster when toasting coconut. There were more but those are the ones that stick out.
