About Me: Was Born in Amsterdam the Netherlands. I was 23 when we moved with 2 Babies to Australia for 7 years. I am now in the USA since 1965 and love it. My cooking has changed to be more American than Dutch so when I cook Dutch it is a treat for my family.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: When I got a recipe for chocolate fudge from Daughters Father in Law (that was in 1978) I was so proud that I made the fudge, still make it every year. Also in 1967 my Husband and I managed a Restaurant in Knights Ferry California and had to learn real quick how to cook American, went to the library and studied and cooked at home first. It was the biggest success and people from all over came for lunch or dinner, every night I made Dutch dinners for all the cowhands and cowboys in that area.

My Food For Thought: "Vegetables are a must on a diet, I suggest Carrot Cake, Zucchini Bread, and Pumpkin Pie."
