I am a 36 year old mother of five living a modest life in the inner city, yet I am a country lady at heart. Faith and family are my twin anchors in life. The kids are my number one priority. I am passionate about educating others concerning autism, which affects my older son. These kids are truly underestimated! I come from New York and still have ties to that region.
When I baked an orange layer cake complete with fruit filling and vanilla whipped frosting topped with slivered almonds. Yum!
That would have to be the time when I burnt a sheet full of chocolate chip cookies.
Chocolate chip cookies are a kid's classic favorite, right? I have a grown up version of this treat using two kinds of chips, cinnamon, real butter, almond extract, and macadamia nuts. Ask me! I am not above tweaking recipes to suit my style.
