I am 43 years old. My birthday is in April. I was born and reared in Lucedale, MS. I live on the Gulf Coast less than an hour away although I do not care to patronize the casinos but have lots of family and friends who do. It is not offensive to me, I'm just not a gambler by nature. I have 7 brothers and sisters. I am divorced (7 years now) and have two grown daughters. My oldest daughter is married and my youngest daughter still lives at home and attends college studying to become a physical therapist. I have a B.A. degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Southern MS. I work full time at a law firm in Mobile, AL. I am a Litigation Paralegal and my job demands a lot of my time. When I am not working, I enjoy working with my flowers, both house plants and my roses. I enjoy the birds who come to fill up at my bird feeders and all sorts of nature. I have a chocolate labador (who technically belongs to my youngest daughter) that I absolutely adore. I love to cook and once a month I cook an entire lunch for my church and people stay and eat and make a donation to pay for their lunches and the money is used to help support our youth, vacation bible school and other worthwhile causes. I attend a small Baptist Church and there are usually around 100 people who stay for the luncheons. I look forward to meeting new friends, sharing ideas and everything else that anyone is comfortable sharing. : - )
Preparing all of the food to be served at my oldest daughters wedding. As a single mother, I wanted to give my daughter the wedding of her dreams but that required a little more effort on my part. I prepared all the food and had some wonderful servers to take care of the service at the reception and successfully fed 150 + people and still had some food left over. Note: the wedding was beautiful and exactly what Rachel had always planned for.
Trying to make divinity. It turned out to be taffy. I am still trying to master the art of making it. I have great success with every other type of candy but not divinity.
Each day that we wake up and are able to get up and moving is an opportunity to start over. Yesterday is gone, no one has the promise of tomorrow so live for today and be grateful for every blessing that we have.
