I live in a small town in the north Georgia mountains with my husband and two cats. I have one son, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters, aged 15 and 10. We retired here almost 10 years ago, and love it. The is no prettier place than north Georgia in the spring when the dogwoods are blooming!
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
I once cooked spaghetti for 400 people for a church school fund-raiser. Now, I make and decorate birthday cakes for my family. I love theme cakes, and enjoy baking for special occasions.I can draw any cartoon character I want, so I have made cakes with all the Disney characters on them at one time or another...once I even made a groom's cake in the shape of a large round brownie with the Mayfield Milk Co logo on it.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
Anytime I decorate a cake, I use all the available counter space in my kitchen...mixing colors of icing and preparing the cake.
My Food For Thought
God has blessed us with a wonderful family and we are so thankful for every day. I love to get up in the morning. I am what you would call a contented happy homemaker! Retirement is better than I ever dreamed!
