About Me
No profile added.
I am the Food Editor for Simple & Delicious magazine and a Registered Dietitian. Cooking is my passion. As part of my job, I'm fortunate to try new recipes almost everyday. I also love to research techniques and read about cooking. I'm drawn to beautiful and flavorful food. Taste... is definitely important to me. It's the best feeling to make a recipe that tastes good and then to share it with others. For me, cooking food can be one of the most inexpensive ways to show others that you care and by its very nature almost everyone can relate to it.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
Hands-down, preparing Thanksgiving dinner for 17 people (by myself) was my greatest cooking triumph. I was exhausted, but it was worth it! I would totally do it again. Next time, I would start earlier and ask others to bring a few more dishes...LOL... :-)
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
When we first got our stove I was baking a casserole and thought I'd make some yeast rolls, too. I put my dough to rise in what I thought was 'just a little' warm spot by the oven. My husband was in the kitchen and noticed that it was beginning to smell like baked bread. Sure enough, the bread dough was baking in the bowl. From the side of the glass bowl I could see a nice golden brown edge beginning to form. It was a warm spot, all right!
My Food For Thought
Food is fabulous! Keep it simple... then eat, drink and be merry!
