About Me
No profile added.
I am a wife and mother to twin boys. I enjoy canning and preserving. I also enjoy making my own ice cream.
My Greatest Cooking Triumph
My homemade pickles. When I was little, my babysitter was a woman we all called Grandma Boone. She made the best pickles in the world. I tried for years to find a pickle in the store that was as good as hers. I never could. Instead I decided to try and make my own. I must have retained some knowlege from watching her because they were delicious. I spent many years perfecting my recipe. My friends and family love them.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
It was a ground turkey recipe. I had never used ground turkey before. I found a recipe I wanted to try. It was a simalar to a meatloaf, but stuffed with cheese and spinach, then rolled up like a jelly roll. It looked fantastic but tasted awful. My husband never lets me forget about that one meal that everyone hated. Needless to say, I never used ground turkey again.
