I am a mother of five so quick, easy and delicious are what I look for in a recipe! I have been cooking more gourmet food lately, but know that some of the greatest recipes are made right in the kitchen when duty calls!
When I invited my family over for a "high class meal." I requested that they dress up like a million bucks and everything! The menu? Carribean dip for an appetizer, crab stuffed chicken or crab stuffed flounder for the main course, savory rice, veracruz tomatoes, strawberry spinach salad, and artisan garlic bread. I also made bananna pecan cake, and brownie bottom cheese cake for desert! It took all day, but I never had more fun in the kitchen!
I haven't had a biggest kitchen disaster, but try not making enough of something delicious for five children! Pretty Scary!
Cooking is an art form. It should be a relaxing experience. Whenever I cook I talk about something interesting to my children, like where the recipe originated from, or I let them help me in the kitchen. And never pigeon hold youself to one cuisine! I collect cookbooks and we eat vegetarian, authentic spanish, japenese, french, and everything in my home! What a great cultural experience!
