My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
When I was about 8 or 9, I wanted to make a batch of homemade rolled biscuits all by myself. Mom agreed, but only if she could watch and she also promised not to interupt. Made the biscuits and they turned out just BEAUTIFUL. Nice and fluffy, brown and yummy smelling. Mom smiled all the while and of course not saying a word. When I served them, I gave my Dad the first one. He buttered it and took a very big bite. I was so very proud. Then I saw his face. I thought he was turning green! Mom told me that I got my "T's" mixed up. Little "T" is for teaspoon and the "Big T" is for Tablespoon. Instead of using 5 teaspoons of Baking Powder, I'd used 5"Tablespoons"! OOPS! I never got that one wrong ever again.
