I am old enough to be a member of the RED HAT Ladies Society. Married for 40 years to a local farm boy. We have one son, who lives near by. We have farmed all our lives. Mainly cattle but some row crops. I now am retired from the local county Farm Service Agency after 35 years of service.
Cooking family dinners. When my side of the family joins for meals, we can have as many as 60 people to serve. That can take a lot of egg noodles, and turkey. However, I have a mother-in-law that is the best. She taught me the best way to make pie curst and that saves to day.
When I first married, I decided to home can our very own chili. Which meant the hamburger, tomatoes, and beans were all in one jar to heatup quickly. The canning process went very well. Jars all sealed, so I thought. However, when I opened the first jar the first time--Wheww- It was all spoiled. Time and Money wasted. Plus the disappointment to bare.
Be happy for what you have because some in this ole world are not so fortunate.
