About Me: I'm a 49-year-old wife and a mother. I'm also a teacher. I teach Culinary Arts in the largest 2A high school in Texas - we're about 35 miles east of San Antonio. I'm an avid lover of life. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, a precious son, lots of family and friends, and an all-around great life! My all-time favorite meal would consist of fried chicken (white meat), macaroni & cheese, unsweetened ice tea, and chocolate ice cream. Most of which is so bad for me, but oh, so good!!

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: Making chili for 500! It was good, too.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: I found a great recipe making a roast using an expensive dark ale beer. My hand accidentally hit the inside of the oven as I was taking the finished roast out of the oven and I dropped it all on the floor. The glass casserole dish it was in broke to pieces. I had to throw it all away. I was so disappointed. A lot of time, money, and great expectations went into that dish. I threw the recipe away and never attempted it again. I also had a nasty burn on my hand!
