I just recently celebrated my fourth anniversary with a wonderful man I call my Tall & Handsome. We met long distance, courted long distance and married in 2003. I have a grown son from a previous marriage. Over the years I have survived many health battles including two battles with lung cancer...I am a two time non-smoking lung cancer survivor. I also have many other chronic health problems and autoimmune disorders. As a result am concerned with the issues, rights and advocacy of the disabled. My husband and I enjoy some of our favorite times when we are cooking together. He specialty is grilling and he has turned out some spectacular meals.
Some really cute birthday cakes I made for my son when he was small. I made a bunny rabbit with big ears, a butterfly one year and one year a pac-man game scape. I also made some other really neat cakes for some other occasions...a Christmas tree cake for an office party and a coconut/cream cheese cake shaped like a wreath with a big red bow for my husband's office party. I also use to make some fantastic cinnamon rolls, and some small miniature applesauce muffins that even kids loved at my son's class party's.
Anything fried...yes, this is a southern gal that doesn't make fried chicken. I tried making fried green tomatoes one time and ended up with a globby mess and two big ol' battered up hands. My fried squash was a flop, too. I guess my aversion to fried food has become a mental blocked in the application.
