About Me: I just turned 50 in Oct. '07 :(. My husband & I will be married 31 yrs. this coming April. We have a 28 yr. old son. We live in rural Lancaster County, and every yr., we have a big garden. We grow corn for grinding to make cornbread and mush, etc. I like to dry herbs like dill and cilantro. I do more freezing than canning, but I do like to make jelly from the black raspberries we grow. We have chickens for eggs and guineas for tick control. Our Border Collie, Zeb, keeps them all in line! I am Christian and very active in my church as song leader and a Sunday school teacher. I have been singing with a Bluegrass-gospel group since Jan. of 2001. So far we have 3 cds out and a 4th one on the way. I have written about a dozen songs, with one of them recorded on our 3rd cd. By trade, I am a [photographic]Negative Retoucher, but that has gone by the way of the dinosaur with the popularity of digital photography. I am trying to break into the digital retouching field. So far, I have done retouching work for 3 or 4 cd covers, and some digital restoration. I love taking photographs and have won several ribbons over the yrs. at the local fair. My biggest win was a nation wide photo contest in which the printing company my husband worked for, held a contest for employees and their spouses. I won first place in the black and white category. Life is good and although I may not always think so, I am truly blessed. I thank God for the friends and family He has blessed me with, and the talents He has given me. To God be the glory!

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: Exploding hard boiled eggs splattered on my kitchen ceiling and fermented home-made rootbeer splattered all over my kitchen ceiling!
