About Me: I am from a family of 12 kids, I am number 10. I married when I was 18 and have been married to my husband, Donald , for 27 years. We have 4 girls and one boy, Tiffany 26, Brittany 24, Heather 17, Darr 13 and Holly is 9 years old (praise God). Holly is severely medically and mentally handicapped. She is missing part of her #1 chromosome, 1p36.3. We have nurses in our home for 8 hours a day to help us care for her many needs. We feel so honored to be blessed with Holly in our family and we make sure to put her needs first. I have had a chronic kidney disease for 12 years, nephrotic syndrome. I am steroid dependant and will someday be on dialysis and need a transplant, but as I always say "that day is not today" and I live for the moment. I also care for my mom who has Alzheimer's. She is pretty severe and she lives in a nursing home 10 minutes from my home. I bring her home every Saturday and Sunday. I know one day she will not know me anymore so even though it gets tough sometimes, I make the most of the time I have with her now.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: I am a pretty good cook and love making soups. My most requested recipe is my Jalapeno shredded oven brisket that I came up with myself. I love recipes and cooking

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: Baking is almost always a disaster, I can do the box thing but now much else.

My Food For Thought: I never question God on his decisions for my life. I know he has a reason for allowing things to happen and I just give him praise for all the wonderful things/people he has given me.
