My Greatest Cooking Triumph
My lasagna held my marriage together for about four years. Quit making it after I figured that out.
My Biggest Kitchen Disaster
I was about 10 or 11, my mother was not home, and I decided to make a lemon meringue pie. I made the crust from scratch, with instructions in her classic Betty Crocker Cookbook, and it was not terribly appealing or tasty. But the real fiasco:::: I boiled some water, put a package of lemon jello in it, and poured it into the pie crust to let it set. I have long since learned to make REAL lemon meringue pie (including the meringue), and NOT with Jello.... LOL
