About Me: I am 61, a mother of 2 grown sons and a grown daughter....all living in different states. I have a husband of 40 years who shares my joy of being a grandparent.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: Not exactly one cooking triumph, but I chair our church's funeral dinner committee. This means coordinating a meal for up to 160 people on 48 hours notice. I plan, shop, get volunteers. (They do much of the work, I simply direct the operation, doing whatever is necessary.) Each dinner is a triumph for each of us.

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: The disaster was getting caught. As a newlywed, I baked and burned the bottom of a pie shell. I was cutting the center out, intending to fill it with pudding anyway, when my husband walked in. Other time getting caught was when cooking my first turkey. I found the neck, but was irritated because there were no giblets inside.....or so I thought until the printing on the bag in the neck cavity showed through the skin after baking a couple hours. I am better now.......at not getting caught!
