About Me: I'm a single mom. Andy, 15 lives with me with his 18yo sister, Kate and her baby, Jayden. I also have an older son who has blessed me with my 2 grandchildren and my ddil. I work full time as an assistant manager for a major retailer, this doesn't allow for much more. I've been chatting here on this bb for 5 years now and have made many, many friends that are near and dear to my heart.

My Greatest Cooking Triumph: My mother, sister and I used to cook delicious meals for 1,000 adults at a girl scout weekend training session up in the mountains in CA. What a wonderful time we had! I can't believe we thought that was fun!! No sleep and alot of hard work. You would just get the dishes done from the night before and it was time to start breakfast!

My Biggest Kitchen Disaster: When I was a newly married 18yo in 1975, I cooked spaghetti in my new crock pot. I didn't even think to cook the noodles first! I put the sauce in and the dry noodles. Of course the noodles absorbed all the sauce and turned into a hard gummy, sticky mess! I think we opened a can of beef stew for dinner that night! With alot of scrubbing I was able to keep the crock pot!

My Food For Thought: Good food and good friends make for a happy, healthy life.
